AFL Season 2018
Re: AFL Season 2014
I can't tell where teams are at this season so far, the only thing I picked with certainty after watching them play the final JLT and first round was that Hawthorn are slow and shit.

You could probably put $100 on Hawthorn to beat the Eagles a the 'G for some easy cash though

AFL Season 2014
She's a roller coaster season. Interesting viewing. Happy to see the sheen lopped off Adelaide.

Re: AFL Season 2014
What a crazy round. Seeing the Roos kick 10.4 to zero against the flag favs was unbelievable! I've only tipped 2 right so far this round. Shows no matter your ladder position on your day you can beat anyone. Go Blues! Seemingly there to always spoil the pies' special occasions.Peppermint Lounge wrote:She's a roller coaster season. Re: AFL Season 2014
Fucking knew we were going to lose to west coast again at home because Hinkley couldnt match day coach himself put of a paper bag. Sitting there I said to my mate u watch we will keep gerring back to 10 pointa or so but never over the hump. If we lose to the Suns this week I want some regime change.
Fuck the Crows, try living in Adelaide every May they are the greatest team ever. They have had the greatest run of no injuries I can remember it is nearly 2 seasons plus with no one of note out.

The Eagles have a better winning percentage at Adelaide Oval than they do at Subi

Yeah but it'll take time. And our squad isn't that bad. Just very young. We are on the up and doing it the right way (finally).General Chaos wrote:Top 2 game plan, bottom 2 squad. Fun times!

Re: AFL Season 2014
Well, in classic Eagles style we tried our best to lose (especially with the horrendous accuracy) but we finally played the way we used to when playing well. Immense forward pressure.
McGovern is an absolute star, was everywhere dumping Geelong players on their arses (and not helping them back up!), Dom Sheed keeps showing each week he has what it takes to be an AFL midfielder, Liam Duggan finally came out of his shell and attacked the game after being on the cusp of being dropped for a couple of weeks now (awesome play in the last quarter where he just kept going), Tom Cole in his third game was aggressive down back.
Injuries aside, I can't see Masten or Butler forcing their way back if the younger players keep showing something.
If Shuey is rubbed out for his hit on Dangerfield (was great by the way) I'd like to see Luke Partington make his debut. Been tearing is up for East Perth.
Kennedy and Lycett should be back next week. Will make for a nice selection dilemma because Petrie and Vardy have been playing well. I'd drop Mackenzie, throw McGovern back despite his performance around the ground vs Geelong, bring Kennedy in. Unsure what to do about Lycett just yet.
