Alien 3 sucked right from the start when the cow had a face hugger then chest burst in such a short time to Ripley committing sepoku and a chest burster coming out in the last second.

I liked alien 3 but by the time a 3rd movie is made the ideas about aliens gets old.

This is why when making movies they should never assume there will be sequels made or that they will be sucessful due to repetition. When aliens burst out of a human body its not a surprise anymore like it was in the original. The alien creature is just as weak as the last.

Instead they should created connected universes that have characters that exist inside those universes but those characters and events are not crucial for us to know about what they do in the past to be entertained by the sequels that appear in a franchise. If they encounter alien and those finally become eradicated there are many other dangerous creatures like it that are not based on creatures from the orignial movie. It's the repetition that bores people. It's not scary anymore to see them jump out of the guts of human because the more you see it, the more desensitised you are. By the time of Aliens humans should have scrapped them as bioweapons since they were defeated with technology. Just mass produce flamethrower wielding pest control teams to kill them and they are not a problem. They are not invincible. Heat is there weakness. They are cockroaches with humanoid form because they are born from us, but humans are still smarter than them. It's only when we let our guard down do they pose a threat.

In science fiction stories they need to keep us interested in the universe by adding things we do not 100% have understanding of to make it interesting again. Perhaps give us hints about why they are not smart enough to hold weapons in thier hands but can turn off the lights and do shit that seems intelligent. That always bothered me. Even monkeys can hold things. Why can't these guys learn and be trained to kill like how we can train dogs to sniff for things like drugs that are hidden or be used in circus for entertainment and feed them dead aliens from other planets? Stuff like that? A domesticated alien could be kept like a pet and you could walk it around like a dog on all fours.

Even the metroid in Super Metroid could bond with human who was about to kill it. So why can't they do this with enomorph which are just animals? People have done it with bears? Those are the closest thing to monsters we have. (aside from crocodiles which have been tamed by the croc hunter)

I like to think the Xenomorph is just a rapist that was never given a chance to be trained to restrain its urge to lay eggs inside humans. It could probably experience love just like people with their pets which ordinarily are wild and dangerous beasts that would eat human. But with time the xenomorph could be like a dog (man's best friend) and similar to the terminator in terminator 2 actually be useful as a defense weapon to help fight in alien wars. It's just not scary anymore because it can die just like any dangerous animal. Giant insects are skinny. They can be crushed, run over, you can shoot them, etc You can love them too. This is perfectly doable in a movie just like Godzilla could be used to protect humans from other monsters. Do you think a giant insect that rapes is any different from a giant reptile that destroy property and eats things? No its just an animal. Horror movies are predictable: the alien becomes a stalker, it dies. Then it has babies that appears in sequels. But what if it didn't die and people used them for hunting or they were tamed to go and kill other alien beings as support? They have humanoid shape and I bet soldiers could train them to identify enemy and friend and even get them to hold tools and weapons.

They are not dumb. But they act like monsters without a consciousness and that is boring because we see it in all the movies. They are as singleminded as an animal and don't learn stuff over time. (the space lobsters in macross frontier were more interesting aliens to me: when merged with rogue AI they could have godlike ability to know things going on around in the galaxy instantly using the fold crystal in their belly to gain knowledge and become ever more powerful as they understood the weaknesses of civilised entities trying to kill them off and identified methods to evolve to better themselves so that they can survive future generations of encounters with that hostile species - this is way more interesting then a rapist that won't stop breeding but is weak to fire. Yes I like rapist alien design but it can't hold a weapon. The Vajra in Macros Frontier could use each member of its race as a remote drone and send that information back to the hive to fuck with anything that it saw and improve. Why don't you have something like that in Aliens franchise where you merge the inteligence of skynet with the breeding speed of Xenomorph aliens to make cyborg aliens that replace human soldiers? )

Do you guys even understand what I am saying? the aliens are animals that don't really pose that big a threat to humans because we know everything about them and they don't adapt to change faster than we can undersand them enough to stop them in their tracks. So it's not longer about being a horror sci fi movie with mystery. Two movies was enough so that is why when 3 came out you didn't have much reason to care about seeing more of the same as technology overcame the beast in the last movie. All they did for 3 is make humans weaker by not letting them shoot the monsters. Not as good as letting us see ever more powerful and scarier monsters. It's like expecting a kid who see a godzilla sequel to think of him as a monster when in reality he is better off as a friend. You have become too familiar with the creature to hate it and the only reason to keep seeing the movies is because it's your fave design. It's not because you are going to be scared. Jurassic park was the new alien movies because at the time people didn't get to see realistic moving dinosaurs. Aliens needs to do something like that by introducing deadlier aliens that we barely get a chance to learn about because they are hard to examine due to not being seen.

You want to know why cloverfield was scary? you never got to see it. They can't do that with aliens because you have seen it so much. But if they introduce other alien species and let the xenomorph just be supporting monster maybe people will get scared again. They might actually care for the human characters that get killed by them instead of cheer at the death of humans. It's not realistic that breeding fast makes you scary. If you defeated with technology in the last movie there is no reason to fear it again if it appears again in future movie. Move on.
