Netflix in oz
Anyone else getting a subscription? Just noticed the pricing and it's as follows.
"Watch on 1 screen at a time in Standard Definition.
A$8.99 a month
Watch on 2 screens at a time. High Definition available.
A$11.99 a month
Watch on 4 screens at a time. High Definition available.
A$14.99 a month"
Also noticed that bigpond upgraded me to 1000 gig a month so no probs now with usage.

Re: Netflix in oz
Telstra just doubled my cable quota (500gb to 1TB) so metered doesn't really affect me anymore. Was only getting around 300-350gb a month with Internode using the US service
Will probably cancel my US account and get the local one when my pre-paid visa runs out, it's about the same now with the exchange rate.

Re: Netflix in oz
Gotta laugh at Fuxtel. Claiming their new cable IQ box is some sort of competition to combat the streaming services. It costs you over 200 bux, true to Fuxtel fashion charging you more money, rather than offering value

Will continue to get TV via other avenues which may be netflix if they offer a compelling service but not for now.

Re: Netflix in oz
Optus fetch box updated today and installed the Netflix app.
Would be nice to get a list of tv shows they are airing in AU.
I think they are offering free 30 day trials when it launches tomorrow.

Re: Netflix in oz
I just recently got rid off them. It was a pain trying to cancel they wouldn't let up, I was originally paying $95 a month, they went all the way down to $40 and told Em I wasn't interested.General Chaos wrote:And yet I just re signed with them for sport at a reasonable price.guttermouth wrote:Gotta laugh at Fuxtel. Yeah that's what I thought Stan has a way better selection of TV series. Only problem DL is metered and there are no console apps to run it

Should be at least a free week but rumours of a free monthflipswitch wrote:Is there a free trial available?
Someone on whirlpool said there were about 2100 shows on Netflix and about 750 on Stan rightnowitch wrote:Stan has a better selection? (for now)
Re: Netflix in oz
Get the 30 day free trial of Stan and you tell me.
The movie selection is definitely better and there are a couple of TV exclusives (including Better Call Saul).
I use an Apple TV and iPad to get it on my second TV.

Re: Netflix in oz
Netflix works great, but I can't get this add-on to work on my HTPC:
http://lifehacker.com/netflixbmc-brings ... 1484237283" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
My HTPC boots directly into Kodi, so until I can get this to work I have to exit Kodi and load the separate Netflix app. Annoying.

Re: Netflix in oz
Really you should support the Aussie version that way we get better programs.
Re: Netflix in oz
Signed up, not a bad price for what you get. Might just cancel Foxtel on Demand now.

I wasn't able to sign up with my primary email address that I used with my US account, so I used another one and was able to get the free trial.
