Re: Netflix in oz
Roughly how much gb does a HD movie use? I know a Canadian Import is about 8gb for 2hrs but raw data on a Blu Ray is about 25gb.

Watching Netflix uses about 1 GB of data per hour for each stream of standard definition video, and up to 3 GB per hour for each stream of HD video. This can create headaches for Netflix members that have a monthly bandwidth or data cap on their Internet service.
Low (0.3 GB per hour)
Medium (SD: 0.7 GB per hour)
High (best video quality, up to 3 GB per hour for HD, 7 GB per hour for Ultra HD)
Auto (adjusts automatically to deliver the highest possible quality, based on your current internet connection speed)

Yeah while torrents are still around I don't see the point. I also dropped Netflix at the end of the trial.

And just when my trial expires they add Basic Instinct. FFS.

/Uncrosses legs for you
1GB of data per hour for standard definition is quite high, must be raw data.
Speaking of raw.

Have you ever used Netflix before? The quality is pretty damn good for streaming and I know for a fact that data usage is very high on HD content so SD sounds about right.

Telstra bumped me up from 200gb to 500gb when Netflix launched... That's 100 hours of HD viewing on top of what I already had.

Anyone using getflix? Definitely the best $38 I have spent for a years subscription giving me access to every region around the world.

Yeah I'm running getflix. Managed to get it for something like $28 a couple of months ago and stacked it ontop of my current one which was a voucher that came with a media player.
