"If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside on the street, or in the the garden or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, and the cats come and eat it ... whose fault is it, the cats' or the uncovered meat," he said.
"The uncovered meat is the problem.
"If she was in her room, in her home, in her hajib (Islamic headdress), no problem would have occurred."
I couldn't help it. The first time I heard it on the radio I just flew out laughing. I mean it's a bad and wrong comment, but fuck it's a funny one.
Thus ends today's episode of When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong
The analogy makes sense, except that humans aren't creatures that act on pure instinct. When a straight man see's a hot woman not wearing much at all his natural instinct is to to hump her to next Wednesday - however most people are civilised human beings that know that forcing themselves onto a girl is wrong. If you're the type of person that finds it hard to control yourself around provocative women, then perhaps you should stay inside... Oh, and cats don't have a society with a legal system either.
Heh, people should think before they open their mouths!
That statement makes me laugh only because of the level of stupidity which these extreme muslim's display so often. Any extreme religious nut actually makes me laugh but also scared at what they might do as they don't value life as much as a normal person like you or I.
A small group of absolute fuckwits == The Left™? Thanks for looking out for me, Bill.
Of course, lunatic fringe lefties like Bob Brown have also spoken in support of the mufti, saying his comments are “unacceptable in a democratic society” (which is clearly meant as an attack on democracy).
Sorry, I should have said "far left" or something to the effect that I didn't mean the entire left. I singled out the left because it's generally left-leaning people who seem to defend dopey comments like this, rather than the right (who also shit me off with some of their stuff, I would say I'm a centrist).

Well obviously there are a lot of Muslim people who do act on pure instinct. Its why there are rules for women to be forced to wear full body clothing and stay inside shut away from the world. It's why they are always fighting and killing each other in their own countries. This kind of barbarianism belongs in the dark ages and killing and blowing up themselves i think is evolutions way of saying get the f*** of this planet.

Or perhaps there are some Islamic people who allow themselves to act on "pure instinct" and like to use that as an excuse for abhorrent behaviour?
Isn't part of human instinct to *think*?
