Taking All Melbourne Cup Bets!

Post by jahooley »

Any punters out there?
I still have to put down a bet during me lunch break today but I completely have to revise because 'Efficient' the one I was backing has since been scratched.

Yeats is currently favourite ($5.00). The Irish horse will be hard to beat. Tawqeet ($6.00) was favourite all yesterday and is in great form with a chance to win...the trainer worrying that he has nothing to worry about. Although they say she starts well drawn inside the first 5 barriers. Tawqeet has been drawn 9. Pop Rock ($7.50) and Zipping ($13.00) to place I reckon.

"Maybe Better" is my pick!! With Munce on board and such a small weight its bound to do well! Also for a roughy I like "On A Jeune" and "Ice Chariot"... Ice Chariot only for a place because Melbourne Cups always have at least one donkey that places well!!

Yeats, Mandela, Pop Rock, and Zipping are my picks.

It really has to be one of the worst races to bet on.. and yet I can't help but put a few bets down. If I'm going to watch the thing, I might as well make it a little interesting. All my bets are very small fry of course.

I think you're right. Too many international horses for my liking.

Amazingly, I got the bloody trifecta!!!

I always go through the form guide, think I'm all set, then lose. This year, I was far less confident due to the wide open field and boom, a winner.

$1 = $1000, pretty damn happy!
