Fantastic choke job by the Boncos last night.

Can only barely scrape by with 8 days rest before home games

I wonder what Peter "Stirling" thinks?

Maybe they're still tired from Round 3. Laypeople who play social League find constantly getting back 10m from the ruck to defend really takes it out of them so it stands to reason first grade NRL players would recover as poorly after defensive games, so much so that going into a home ground match on an eight day turnaround vs a travelling team on a five day turnaround represents no net advantage.

Im so glad we have those power rankings. Or I would incorrectly believe that Cowboys with an 80% win rate are somehow better than Broncos with a 40% win rate.

Fuck I hate the Storm. They just never played badly against Panthers. I don't think we will beat them again while anyone of Cronk, Smith or Slater are playing. Simply too good for us.

Can someone send search parties out for Madmya and Pilon? They've gone missing after their teams were exposed over the weekend.

Clearly the Boncos had TOO MUCH rest. As we know from armchair science it works against you

He's waiting for Power Rankings to tell him his team are better than Cowboys and Dragons despite having 3 times as many losses.

Widdop has been really good.

Tallis taking a crack at Dugan was both deserved and hilarious

Cooper Cronk leaving the Storm, going to a Sydney club next year!

What a bombshell.

I reckon he'll go to Parra. They've got money and their halfback stocks are empty.

Panthers have dropped Matt Moylan, Peta Hiku and Waqa Blake for this weekend for getting on the piss after losing to the Storm. Ontop of that Tyrone Peachey is out injured having broken his ribs.

I admire that our club have a set of balls unlike the Broncos. James Roberts fucks up for the 50th time and they just sweep it under the rug paying off clubs not to release their CTV footage. Panthers on the other hand come out and punish 2 internationals and a superstar back for breaching team protocol even though they did nothing morally wrong like Roberts did.

That said... we can't win this weekend now. We are missing 5 of our back 7 that carried us to the finals. Hiku is out instead of DWZ... so we are missing 6 NRL quality players who are crucial to our attack.

1. Moylan - punished
2. Mansour - injured
3. Pecahey - injured
4. Blake - punished
5. Hiku - punished
6. Cartwright - injured

Peachey and Blake are our biggest losses imho (from last week). Moylan hasn't been at his best, although I think it's been a case of trying too hard to make something happen every time he gets the ball.

Looking forward to seeing Edwards at #1. I though he looked pretty good a few weeks back on the wing.

One thing I have noticed about Moylan is his defence is fucking terrible, he drops off tackles and he's little more than an inconvenience covering at fullback.

Overrated player imo.

Hes just playing the wrong position. His skillset doesn't translate well to fullback. He's a 5/8th... he is rated for his ball playing skills and ability to create opportunities for others.

He would be the best 5/8th is NSW by a long way if he played there.

He's just a great 5/8th that makes a solid fullback. Griffin wont move him to where his future lies though.

This is why he is rated...and its stats that compare to halves. 2016 assist stats:

Try Assists:
Thurston - 25 - avg 1.0 per game
Cronk - 23 - avg 0.9 per game
Moylan - 21 - avg 1.0 per game
Hunt - 21 - avg 0.8 per game

Linebreak Assists:
Moylan - 27 - avg 1.3 per game
Johnson - 24 - avg 1.0 per game
Thurston - 24 - avg 1.0 per game

Moylan missed the opening Rounds last year but was still top 3 for try assists and had a higher average then the guys around him other than Thurston. He killed it with linebreak assists.

Yet you look at the amount of tries he scored. Or linebreaks he made... and his personal stats are quiet low for fullback.

He has an error or two in him at fullback. His one on one defence is weak and his effort to save things from fullback isnt nearly as desperate as other fullbacks.

He's a clutch player who loves big moments in games. But he is obviously playing out of position. He's one of the slower and weaker fullbacks in the competition. Hes just extremely skillful and able to play to his strengths despite his weaknesses. But it still doesnt change that he is a 6 running around in the #1.

Carty is a shit defender too. They can put on points but are very susceptible to giving them up too.

Mitchell Moses will be at the Eels next season. Possibly sooner if he can get a release.

This Broncos vs Roosters game is the worst defensive display of the year by both teams. Knights defend better than these sides.

Crazy since before this week they were both terrific defensive sides

Too much rest for the Boncos. As we know they need to play a game every day to be at their best #broscience

If they had less rest they'd have won by 60.
