The 10 to 5 penalty count was luck. Half the Broncos penalties were from ridiculous shit you can't replicate because it is was ridiculous bounces or ricochets or players not expecting them to do something so stupid and as a result a lucky unlikely outcome occurs. They also got away with a lot of penalty offences, but that wasn't luck. It was the referee giving them the rub of the green like they always do.

ie. Last tackle. Broncos have fucked another set entirely. Ball gets a hail mary pass to Josh McGuire who is forced to kick it. It hits Paul Gallen and redeflects into Jack Bird who is in an offside position. A shit set ends with a lucky penalty... at this point the Broncos were on the ropes having lost a huge lead down to 2 points.

Ben Hunt on the first tackle puts in a shit grubber to the goals... it's a nothing kick but Broncos collide with a Sharks player and get a penalty when Ben Hunt fucked up.

Another shit kick is rewarded with a penalty when Jack Bird fumbles a crossfield kick into a teammate... he's facing his own goal line and it goes over his shoulder into an offside player.

Meanwhile the Broncos got away with holding players down by the head as they stood up. Kicking the ball out of players hands while they were laying on the ground and as per usual they got away with 90% of their forward passes. Only one was called and there were a dozen or more that travelled further forward then that.

The things you mentioned were good plays... not everything was luck. But most of those happened after the Broncos got some bullshit lucky bounce of the ball to give them another set. Milfords try came after the accidental offside from McGuire being forced to kick the ball and getting the luckiest result you could want from an unplanned kick.

Sharks had one lucky bounce go their way... that Maloney try. It bounced too high and wildly for Bird to get a hand to it and knock on. Allowing Maloney to clean it up and get a try that was inches away from being a knock on.

You're not understanding me, we are the Broncos, we demand a favourable penalty count.

You mean the forward pass that wasn't actually forward?

I didn't watch the game last night. Not watching tonight either.

No interest in grub jabroni teams, of which last night and tonight consists 100% of grub jabroni teams.

Then there's the part where it's round 1. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Just no one get injured please.

Cronulla will not be anywhere near as good this year, Brisbane's true test will come in September. ZZzzzZZzzzz

So it turns out I watched a fair bit of Souths/Tigers last night, and all the coaching and medical staff at the Wabbits should be taken out the back and shot.

Inglis hurts his knee, they keep him on the park even when it was clear he was a passenger.

Now he's out for 6 months. Fucking retards.

I'm also really pissed with the way Souths handled Inglis last night. The guy wanted to come off, you listen to him. It makes you think things might not be so rosy between coach and Inglis if he won't listen to him like that... and it'll be interesting to see how Inglis reacts.

Inglis + Foran to the Broncos in 2018.

Panthers are fucked. Worst performance in years. Somewhere inside I expected it... we are fucking terrible as favorites. We seem to show up expecting the win and do nothing to earn it.

Based on that a wooden spoon is more likely than a premiership. Almost nothing good to build off. The forwards were the worst since the Newton and Ciraldo days.

Tamou was a waste of money. Tim Browne is deadset shot... but i knew that when we signed him. Why did we drop Sitaleki Akauolo for that fuckwit?

That was some bullshit right there, Leilua scores with a double movement just after he should have been sat down for punching.

We should've lost this game, but whatever.

Missing players, toughest away assignment in the league. A good sign.

I'm not sure how to feel about the refs giving us a legup re: Leilua. Absolutely should have been binned.

Someone on the officiating team is losing their job this week! The Raiders usually get screwed, not helped!

That was incredible!

Hilarious that Candy gets on his high horse regarding teams being grubs, and we all just watched the Raiders descend into cheap shots and thuggery.

It's a reach to say the Raiders are grubs.

They're a young team and they're susceptible to being mentally thrown off their game.

We're in for another big year, top 4 awaits

They're not that young. Rapana and his mate pushing down on Coote's head after the high shot was a shitcunt move.

Regardless, they did impress. I'd like to replace the Titans with the Raiders in my top 8. They will be higher than 8th spot too, so the order is now fucked. But I am still tipping the Roosters to be in the top 4.

Knights looked impressive against Knights. In for a better year this year.

Only dreadful performances were:
Bulldogs... all that possession. Field position and could only score 6 points
Panthers... fucking pathetic
Souths... pure shit without Reynolds. But carrying Inglis for 60 minutes when he couldnt walk was terrible

I missed the games saturday night. I went out after Panthers ruined my weekend and only got a glance at the tv a few times. So i didnt see them.

I think this Cartwright shit leaked in the media today was on his mind yesterday. His worst ever game for us. Shouldn't have played. Hes a real scumbag off the field too. But he seems to pick women equally as scummy.

Yeah Cartwright just has that face. Before any of this stuff had come out you could tell he was a knob just by looking at that face.
