I can't remember when I actually joined PlayNOW! but god damn clicking on that web archive link and seeing some of those names. We've lost some good posters over the years :(

I would have been in high school when I first started lurking, and would have just started uni when I signed up. So early 2000s or so. And yes, I've lost most of my hair

Still got the copy of Halo 2 Limited Edition I got from Pat in exchange for Lumines on PSP.
Currently playing: Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition (PC), Far Cry 6 (PC), FIFA 21 (Series X), TimeSplitters 2 (Series X BC)

Just make it a copy of Yakuza 6 in March next year and we'll call it even.

It was 20 years ago when the remake of Lolita was made. The average tightness of pussy lips was higher in those days so maybe that is why you remember so much.
The young teenage females have all been corrupted since they became camwhores and broadband connections have allowed them to make money stripping in front of webcam to pay for their college debt. for desperate sex-starved nerds. These are the kind of people that are now working on all the latest dragon age and mass effect games and trying to make the females in the game look ugly because the female staff that sucked them off to get the job are in positions of authority and demanding more feminist-friendly content in male-aimed videogames. (which has ruined stories and created division in game industry thanks to these weak people)

If the reptilians come to abduct all the girls like the women in the duke nukem games have shown, they will be in for a rude suprise as they have many infectious diseases even at their young age.

It's not like the old days when girls we a bit more innocent but sexy (in non-slut way) like Kim Richards in the 70s with her loili face and licking ice creams in Assault in Precinct 13. Today they are doing animals, each other, and the pop songs today sing about wanting to be fucked by aliens as they get abducted.

Perhaps it is good that you are 20 years closer to your death. Every movie I watch now is feminist shit with women who have bald hairstyle, tats all over their tits, and a belief that ugly people are cool and if you are fat its only because their parents didn't feed them veggies as a kid and therefore men should accept them as fat with missing teeth due to bad diet(too many sweets and cakes) and pay with their taxes for their surgery and liposuction and other shit which could have been used to help the poor homeless guy who lost his job because google automated away the job he had.
This is why I believe sex robots are the future: you will get the teen-looking hot celebrity of your dreams that won't age, will suck your dick (mel gibson couldn't even get hs wife to do this duty) on time, and cook and raise the kids and guard the house. (don't even need a guard dog or hire private security firm to keep crazies away after you got doxxed on social media for saying good things about stopping the NWO so people can have control over their nations instead of private secret groups who want to rule over the planet for the aliens. )

When generation Z grows up they will be fed up with the feminist control over western society and develop the tech to finally give us the innocent underaged girls back who are not corrupted by the immoral parents who raised them to hate men thanks to the tv shows that made men into creepy predators. Every movie out now shows men as bad guys and the solution is that the matriarchy could fix the problem and the UN and the harry potter girl could fix this by tone policing everyone's behavior. Nope. The solution is let us slap a girl on the butt like in the 70s and bring back sideburns and girls that were young enough to be sexy but not slutty. ie you want them to be slutty only for YOU not the whole internet where they can make money from donations earned by sucking a dildo in front of a webcam.

In only 2 decades your daughters have fucked up my world by taking away all the titty jiggle from my games and ruining all the RPG games by not allowing face petting in Fire Emblem because they think its creepy to show affection by touching a person on the face and they are not even real people. Think about that for a second: girls are angry and jealous that men can have virtual relationship with a non-existent person! lol They don't men to love anything because it's competition. Arseholes. And then people wonder why nobody is breeding: because the illuminati doesn't allow love in this world and people have turned to sexual perversions like VR Porn and tentacle porn instead of finding a housewife to suck their dick causing shortages of labour which then gives the government an excuse to bring in dangerous illegal immigrants that speak different languages and who don't assimilate and then want to vote for the left (where the feminists are) which then makes the problem worse. (feminists do not support breeding and abort babies - part of the illuminati's depopulation plan)

But 20 years ago you have movies like the matrix. And it is due to this movie many men got the idea of the Red Pill man and Blue Pill man so I guess it all evens out. The world is still fucked up but the resistence is fighting back by playing videogames instead of buying free drinks for slutty people who want your baby dead so they can fuck as many people in town as they can and make their pussy lips so loose that you can smuggle a small dog through airport security when travelling to avoid leaving them alone back home.

Old bump but I remember being in IRC chat on #sega and #playnow when the Twin Towers were hit. Was watching TV when the images were broadcast, the first tower was already burning. Saw the second plane hit and then the towers came down. It was about 10:00 or 11:00pm from memory. Remember thinking how awesome the 90s were and then after that it wasn't the same vibe.

Castlevania SOTN is also 20 years old. I'll never forget the discovery of the inverted castle and Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid finding out my secret that I'm a closet fan by reading the memory card to find my savefile the bloody cheat. He didn't know about Legacy of Kain though.._

Posted this in the Bloodstained thread but I think nows agood time for that game to get amodern remake.

Give it a cool new soundtrack with metal/rock as the basis for the remix but give the player the option to use the classic music if they wish.

Yuzo Koshiro has done some great stuff for EO series. One of the better tunes:
Or just keep the same music but make metal versions of it.
Eg with FF7 battle remix tune
PS1 controllers were primitive in those days so these 2D action games were perfect to play them on. Sreet fighter alpha 2 and Tekken were my main games.

Thanks God nintendo standardised analogue stick controls for 3D action games or you'd all be stuck with crap character movement as seen in Tomb Raider and Resident Evil. Although ok for games like Wipeout, platformers like Crash suffered from it due to forcing you to see from behind the back of the character all the time. Not as good as Mario 64. The old days weren't all amazing. Loading times for some games were fucking annoying for fighting games due to low memory. That's why nintendo stayed with carts.

I used to play a bit with Lambchop, M.A.G was a big one for us but jeez PS3 voicechat was piss poor. He plays Madden, Fifa and Destiny quite a bit.

The owner - Abby, I think - posted a thread at Playnow advertising her website and forum. And then, and I don't know if this is a true memory or I'm just making this up, someone from Playnow (probably Prince Underpants) posted on her forum advertising Playnow, she got upset, and a lot of trolling ensued.

Mad Gamers raided PN pretty well in the end. They obtained access to PN through a PN mod using a common password for their Mad Gamers and PN accounts and proceeded to wipe the forum. It had to be restored from backup.

I trust GR is backed up regularly.
