You'd think the guy could at least win something before talking shit?
They're going to get their doors blown off again by Melbourne, can see it coming from a mile away.

In that photo are two gun players (Cleary and To'o), one decent player (Api) and 3 passengers.
Luai gets the "I'm just happy to be here" medal.

Re: NRLW 2018 - Broncos the Premiers!!!
Well looks like Cleary might be out for 3-6 weeks, and possibly the season depending on how further assessment goes, so we'll all get to find out if Luai is carried by Cleary or not (tip: he isn't, one of the reasons Cleary was robbed of the Dally M last year was that Luai kept bagging the points in the 2nd half of the season).
Also Yeo being labelled a passenger is laughable, and that argument against Martin makes no sense considering the minutes he played in both games was at the end once QLD had been well and truly destroyed. But I'll admit he didn't really make as much of an impact as I would've hoped, except for bringing out Munster's grubby antics.

The other reason was that Wighton was just flat out better.

Couldn't help but notice Luai didn't talk any shit after his knock on to end the game?

I don't know what that is, but if it involves getting enjoyment from watching a thoroughly overrated team lose - yes I definitely have it going on.

SUCK IT MELBOURNE
But I kid, fuck that was stressful. Can't believe we actually did it! Going in I knew we needed it to be a grind. If it was flowing game I was worried Storm would get us by 20+

Most fraudulent premiership since 2006. Sutton easily wins Clive Churchill for refereeing two separate games. I can't remember the last time I saw a team literally carried through a finals series. Absolute abortion of a season.

Re: NRLW 2018 - Broncos the Premiers!!!
He can definitely talk shit if he name is Nathan Cleary because we know who butters the bread on that team.
Cleary is seriously spectacular. His kicking last night was as good as you could ask for and he has the best kicking game in the sport. Luai is honestly a passenger. So often he makes basic fundamental mistakes with the ball in hand. If Penrith had a decent 5/8 they would be legitimately terrifying.

Re: NRLW 2018 - Broncos the Premiers!!!
This was only Luai's second season in the starting squad. I'm fine with him being inconsistent and not always making the right decisions at this stage of his career. Go back a few years - last year even - and the same criticisms were levelled at Cleary, that he's not a big game player, now look at him. I'm not saying Luai will ever get to Cleary levels of consistency, but we don't need him to, that's not his role.
Walker and Munster still have the same inconsistencies as Luai in their games, you're not gonna get consistency with the flashy x-factor that these guys bring. Luai definitely went into his shell post origin, but he was excellent last night and didn't overplay his hand.

Re: NRLW 2018 - Broncos the Premiers!!!
Can't argue with that, the issue I have is that he talks a lot of shit for a guy who is nowhere near the best player on the field in any game. And you watch Penrith play and you can see that without Cleary in the team they would fall apart. Luai ain't picking up the slack. I'd even go as far as to say they're letting the wrong 5/8 leave the club (Burton).
I don't think anyone on the field last night from either team approached "excellent". Cody Walker was on his way until he decided to throw the premership to Penrith on a dumb cutout pass where either a dummy and run or a pass to his next outside man (Gagai I think) and they likely would have scored a try.

Re: NRLW 2018 - Broncos the Premiers!!!
Been a while since I washere. WInning a competition for some reason made this site pop into my head randomly
What an incredible last 2 years of Rugby League. 2020 as disappointing as losing the grand final was, it didnt stop the Broncos from walking away with the spoon. Which let's face it was just awesome for all fans except Broncos fans. First time they've known how shit being a rugby league fan can be.
2021 the young Panthers stepped up on the back of desire not to lose again. But I fully expect to cruise through 2022 finishing around 4th and only going to week 2 or 3 of finals at most. The hunger is gone now. I kind of look forward to that though. Everyone had insane expectations on Panthers and nothing they did mattering with a comp win. Now we can just enjoy each win for what it is.

Lolz I've only just read this. I have to say, supporting a shit team is in many ways much easier - you have zero expectations and you become desensitised to losses.

That was some performance. No one can touch the Panthers in this era. They're too fast, too professional.

Re: NRLW 2018 - Broncos the Premiers!!!
4 Grand Finals in a row! What a run it's been. Surely we can't be considered overrated anymore?
Bring on the Boncos though! But man they legit scare me. Speed has always been our achilles heel, and the Broncs just dgaf about the flow of the game. But this has all the makings of a classic!!
Shame GWS couldn't get it done in the AFL, would've been pretty nuts to have a Western Sydney vs Brisbane GF in both codes!!
