I hate those machines with a passion, it's especially annoying when they have some poor kid trying to get you to use it.

Fuck you I want a human to serve me. We complained to management about it, the managers response was they were forced to push these devices from head office.

Do not use them, don't give them the idea it's acceptable.

Yeah, I don't go to McDeath much, but they did that to me last time I was in there.
The person came from behind the counter and did the machine for me.

There seems to be this assumption that because I didn't use the machine I'm either too dumb or technophobe to use it and that I just need to be "taught" how to use it.
There's like this disconnect assumption that customer is wrong, and that they'll force the customer to accept the machine and they'll like it as their preferred option.

It's like they're completely blind to the fact that some customers just straight up prefer to deal with a person.
Plus I always enjoy giving dumb millennial kid $5.10 cash for a $4.10 order just to watch their dumb brain melt down in front of me.
It's like a panic sets in on their face while they can't comprehend what's going on, then STILL give me 90c change.
Cracks me up every time.

I can't believe they try to make you use those fucken machines, I guess that's how long it's been since I've walked in the store for an order. Would never use them just like I refuse to use the self checkouts at the supermarket.

My gripe about those machines is how slow and unresponsive they are. What would take a kid at a register 30 seconds to put in takes 5 minutes because the software and touchscreen detection is so shit.

I use them on the occasions that I go there. That way I know my burger customisation is entered correctly (because I ALWAYS customise my burger). Then it's just down to the dumb kids in the kitchen to get it right.

It's not like self-serve checkouts, imo, since they really do provide additional customer value.
