iPhone
I still cant believe that people camp outside for a phone which isn't radically different from the older one. I like predictive typing though, battery is fine too. Looking forward to reading the reviews to see how well the camera stacks up.

I'd say that's three different people's phones there. Bent it like an iPhone?

I think a new trend could be starting, just like how people are sanding their consoles to get that brushed metal look.

Re: iPhone
Still rocking an iPhone 8 but I've gotta say, I want this. My 2 year old plays with one an old iPhone 4 we still have and the squared off iPhone 4 is still one of my favourite iPhone designs.

Re: iPhone
Was funny looking back at the start of the thread, and everyone was worried about the original iPhone's MASSIVE screen, how delicate it would be, and fingerprints.

Re: iPhone
I'm *still* rocking that iPhone 8. Waterproof, wireless charging, A11 chip still gets around iOS fine and it fits well on my bike's Quad Lock mount. Are other GR iPhone users paying to keep themselves current? My mrs bought an iPhone 11 Pro Max 512gb recently because she shoots a lot of video for her work projects. Such a big, heavy device. I can't see myself ever wanting a phone that big.
Re: iPhone
I am not a fan of big phones. I continued squeezing life out of my iPhone 6 for as long as I could reasonably get away with it, then finally grabbed a 2020 SE when they were released. Basically an 8 with more horsepower. Fits comfortably in my pocket, still has a button, I can reach every point on the screen with my thumb, great battery life. The only downgrade was the lack of audio jack but I joined the AirPod club and quickly got over it. I won't upgrade again until there's a significantly better model with the same form factor. I don't need or want a giant screen, really don't like not having a home button, and I couldn't give a shit how many cameras there are as long as it's not zero.
Keep it in mind as an upgrade (sidegrade?) path if your 8 ever buys the farm.

Re: iPhone
Yep that sounds fine. If I did go a 12 or 13 I'd go for one of the 'minis' which is what they call previously normal sized phones now. I remember when Steve Jobs said he wouldn't want an iPhone bigger than the iPhone 4.
My partner's iPhone 11 Pro Max is broken already, btw. Wrappped in a recommended case with screen protector it fell from my 4 year old's lap to the ground and that was enough.
