What music are you listening to at the mo bro?
Re: What music are you listening to at the mo bro?
Recently replaced my ELO collection with the remastered versions and shit the bed at having never heard this before:
Also hadn't heard Zoom before. Above average album, but not their best.

I also recently updated my ELO collection and came across this on the updated version of Discovery. I love it.

New Refused, new FNM and now new Ghost. 2015 is shaping up to be good for Madmya.
Edit: Updated video as a funny music video has just been released.

We've probably all been there done that but how -amazing- is Kendrick Lamar's 'To Pimp a Butterfly'?

What shits me about Refused is the bloody hipsters that follow them. Look at them! I just want to mosh on their ironic clothes.

Haha yep Peewee Herman. Let's give Peewee Herman the benefit of the doubt and assume he owns The Shape of Punk to Come, but besides that I wonder what is the heaviest album he owns. Oh well, I'm pretty jealous he got to be there.

I've seen comments saying that the reissue of The Real Thing sounds better, i.e. the sound is 'fuller' which is probably what you were looking for. I can't imagine it sounding completely different though.jizzlobber wrote:Do remasters happen with music?
Some of my favorite albums suffer from bad mixing, or just technology has simply improved since.
Speaking of gunners and faith no more, I think appetite and the real thing both lack bass and clarity.
I'd love for Alice in chains' facelift to be tweaked and re-released... Fucking great album.
Re: What music are you listening to at the mo bro?
Didn't think this was worth starting a new thread over- does anyone know wtf the little love heart toggle that's been added to iTunes is for? I mean, it's fairly implicit that I should "love" the albums/songs/artists that I love, but there's no indication of what it actually achieves. Including "iTunes" and "love" in any Google search just ends in links to a million shit songs with the word love in the title. I see I can sort by whether things are "loved", but that seems largely useless in the face of the five star rating system.

Not sure gammz.
I finally gave the new Aphex Twin album a look in.
So good.

TV on the Radio - Seeds. Late to the party on this one, it's a really nice album.
Melvins - Hold It In. Teamed up with Butthole Surfers dudes this time. It's okay, has its moments, but nothing amazing.

It feels like I'm listening to music back in the 90's. This is Veruca Salt. This is GOOD Veruca Salt. Can't wait to pump their album on Friday!

Miss the 90's, its was great so many Chick bands that could Rock. Where have they all gone.
L7, Breeders, 7 Year Bitch, Lunachicks, Babes in Toyland, Hole, Bikini Kill, Nitocris.
Nothing sexier than a chick rocking with a guitar

Agreed. This song is strong enough for me to pre-order the album, and I haven't done that in years.

Re: What music are you listening to at the mo bro?
Yeah I've never pre-ordered.. but the two available tracks have made it a must. Bring on tomorrow.
Definitely sad about the lack of rock chicks these days.. Veruca Salt are awesome..
90's Bands (some are still around) that just are awesome..
Garbage (looking forward to their new album!)
The Cardigans (Not rock.. but fuck you.. that's why!)
Furslide - Adventure - Seriously such a great album. It pains me that this band never got any airplay.
Star 69 - Eating February - Good alt rock.

New Veruca Salt album delivers.
Alternica is fucking epic. Fucking stoked about this album and I'm only about 4 plays through.

I'm only halfway through so far, and I have to say; they've really hit the ground running with this album. It's literally everything that was awesome about 90s rock.

Between The Buried And Me - Coma Ecliptic
So, I've never been a BTBAM fan. Got recommended to listen to Alaska years ago, bought it, and couldn't deal with it. Wasn't ready for the purely harsh vocals, and hadn't "progressed" to some of the heavier realms of prog metal where I could get what they were doing.
So, now BTBAM has produced a self-described progressive metal opera. It's weird, eclectic, still heavy, and really really interesting. The harsh vocals have been reduced right down, and the band now sounds more like 70s prog than their previous incarnations (which has progressed from more death-metally places into something jazzier). Might even start going backwards in their discography to see if I can get into their previous stuff now.
Leprous - The Congregation
Another one moving outside my usual ground for an instant love, but after two weeks listening to it on the train I'm a fan. Quite sparse for progressive metal, with a love for repetition and staccato rhythms. Fantastic vocal performance and whenever you think they're stuck in one gear they throw out a massive chorus or something equally unexpected.

There's a high quality video of faith no more at Hellfest in France 2015 on the net.
If you are a fan you have to download it, it's fucking amazing... they are clinical, powerful, Patton is the GOAT!
Cuckoo for caca has to be seen to be believed, I want to witness that song being played in person, it'd blow my mind!!
