better than The Fragile? No way...!Rorschach wrote:I've been alternating between Year Zero by NIN and Beggar's Banquet by the Stones. I'm prepared to call Year Zero the best NIN release ever, nearly a year on and there is still depth to the album. I have never been a fan of the Stones but Street Fighting Man has some of the best lyrics in the history of music.
I do very much like Year Zero though.
It's a tough call, The Fragile has far more depth than Year Zero, I remember spending at least 3 years periodically listening to it. However there were a few songs on there that I hated, particularly Starfuckers. Year Zero, after an extended listen, is strong from go to woe. And it came out quickly after the bad taste that was With Teeth. I love the The Fragile but Year Zero has reminded me again why Reznor is God.

I've listened to the new Wu album, its solid but not spectacular. There has been plenty of arguments between the group - basically everyone didn't like Rza's selection of beats and Raekwon wanted to release an offshoot album to the beats that they all preferred. However, I think its a bit harsh, the album is still quality, but probably not as good as 36 chambers or the W.
New Ghostface out soon too and fuck is it amazing, easily his best since Supreme Clientele. Called The Big Doe Rehab. I will buy both ASAP.
Also, RIP Pimp C - half of the legendary group Underground Kingz. Found in his hotel dead yesterday, believed to be nothing malicious. Aged 33. Such a shame, really loved UGK/PimpC. The south won't be the same.

You wouldn't pick me for being a fan, but holy shit that's an awesome album. Some of the guitar/bass work in it is just pure genius.Twiztid Elf wrote:Got a new set of headphones. AKG K26P. To wear them in, I've been running through some of my favorite cd's of all time.
