My Nortons has just expired and now, instead of ceasing regular updates,it switches off until you reactivate the product via their website.
Not fucking good enough.I plan to uninstall and never use their products again.
I want a decent virus protection and intertron security program but I've always used Norton until now.
What is a better option?

Do a search for AVG free. Great free virus scanner. I know Windows Defender gets a bad rap, but honestly, those two freebies plus built in Windows firewall seems to do fine for most people I set up computers for.

Westical indeed speaks the truth.
Avast is a lot better than AVG.
I remember reading a comparison review on a tech site. Avast found simply more viruses and removed/healed them more effectively than AVG.
