The Tivoli is an odd location for them to play.

As much as a Fear Factory fan i am, or was...i still listen to their old stuff, these guys should of given up after Obsolete. Digimortal and everything after that is basically crap. Bands only come out with 3/4 good albums imo, other albums are hopeless. I saw these guys at the Palace in Melb during their Demanufacture and Obsolete tour and they we're awesome. I dont listen to their new stuff. I'm not gonna pay $60+ to see them. Seeing them those two times is enough for me. Have fun guys :D

Archetype was a fantastic return to form which they then scuttled with the rubbish that is Transgression. Danzig is touring (seperately) as well, should be a good show.

Fear Factory have lost the plot in terms of being on the cutting edge of metal and kicking my arse. Especially considering the genius available in the hardcore and metalcore genres(if thats your sort of thing)...put fear factory's strengths to shame. They just dont have the lasting impact a classic metal band should.

If I were to goto this show it'd be for devildriver, i am not CRAZY bout them but i've been occassionally listening to one of their albums I got off a mate and it is fairly varied and has peaks and valleys - so many heavy releases miss this and end up being 16 samey songs u can't stand listening to back to back(soulfly i'm looking at you).

Is anyone else interested in the Black Label Society tour? Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society tour Australia in September.
THURSDAY SEPT 21 PERTH METRO CITY
SATURDAY SEPT 23 ADELAIDE THEBARTON THEATRE
SUNDAY SEPT 24 MELBOURNE THE PALACE
TUESDAY SEPT 26 SYDNEY ENMORE THEATRE
THURSDAY SEPT 28 BRISBANE ARENA
SATURDAY SEPT 30 AUCKLAND ST JAMES

I've heard word of an yngwie malmsteen tour this year but I'm having trouble finding details on it. anyone know stuff? EDIT: apparently all bullshit rumours now i've done some further googling.

What, no Adelaide gig? :( ohwell seen them 4 times before :D

and gotta agree with the sentiments here.. digimortal was crap (although i quite enjoyed it live), archetype was a great return, and transgression is rubbish.

Black Label Society should be awesome, shame Fear Factory aren't coming to Adelaide though. Boomy I think Malmsteen is coming....
