It was good, it wasn't as awesome as it should have been. But it was good.

I would have preferred a stand alone Superman film written by an actual comic writer. Not some poor continuation of a very old film series that not everyone in the world has seen.

If I was rich and made movies, I would want

Movie 1

- Origin scenes
- Lex Luthor as rich industrialist with power in Metropolis (I'm talking 1985 Luthor here)
- Lex using Kryptonian Tech to fuck over Superman. Oh I'm talking Birthright by Mark Waid baby

Movie 2

- Braniac
- Not the fleshy one but the evil robotic looking one. He could start out fleshy and mentalist and then turn into evil robot form.

Movie 3

- Metallo
- 60 foot tall Metallo oh baby yes

Movie 4

- Doomsday

--------------

I would like to put Bizarro in there somewhere... but he would prolly have to be a Lex created clone. Which would make it too much like Superman IV The Quest For Peace.

Maybe the introduction of Cadmus and STAR Labs would help... hmmm...

Also, I wanna see characters like Bibbo involved. STAR, Cadmus, the SCU. Maggie Sawyer... I want to see stuff from 1985 onwards.

man if only I was rich... I would so make the greatest Superman movie ever... I would get my brother to EP.

I think it's because Donner's Superman was the PERFECT Superman origin movie. Frankly I respect the fuck out of Singer for having the balls not to do a re-make like everybody else. He didn't try to re-do what was already perfectly fine like a bunch of other money-mongering, unoriginal shitheads out there.

But yes I can't wait for the sequel, hopefully we'll get a villain to match Supes in a more physical sense.

Superman returns was boring, I wanted to fall asleep. It could have been 45 minutes shorter.

I quite enjoyed it. I dont like the Superman comic character very much (unless he is contrasted with Batman) but found the movie to be incredibly charming and at times terrifically suspenseful.

I loved it. I was disappointed that the giant robot scene wasnt in the movie - or am I getting the game confused with the movie? Who knows.

I loved all the bits from the boat onwards.

Smallville TV Show > Superman Returns

Needed a better villain. Someone for Superman to actually fight against... Lex Luthor is more like a sidekick villain IMO. Superman 2 got it right.

I think it was a good decision to make it a sequel rather than start again like they did with Batman Begins. Unlike Batman (Michael Keaton was pretty good, Val Kilmer was meh and George Clooney was a disaster) there is already a definitive Superman: Christopher Reeve, and the new guy played the role Reeve perfected brilliantly.

I love all the little hints to the first two movies as well.

Oh, and this scene:

"Wasn't there two of them?"
Currently playing: Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition (PC), Far Cry 6 (PC), FIFA 21 (Series X), TimeSplitters 2 (Series X BC)
