A Romanian guy at work today was telling about the France Vs Germany match in the 1982 World Cup at Spain (great match by the sounds!!!!) and pre-faced it by saying "Do you remember,". I would have been 1 during that World Cup! Hmm, no I seem to have forgotten. I must look old

Jesus christ the diver, Grosso, got italy through to the final, can you believe that shit. Well if italy win it we can say we got knocked out by the winner. but still that's fucked up.

It was a cracking goal as well. That ball could not have been hit better.

The Del Piero goal was nice as well.. but the game was pretty much over at that stage, so the pressure was off.

I am happy Portugal is out, I didn't think they deserverd to get this far, especially against England luck and that red card was the only reason they got through.

Yeah Portugal have struggled to score in this World Cup.

France were clearly the better team in the match, though Portugal did have a chance after Barthez made that dodgy parry of C. Ronaldo's free kick. Luckily for Barthez and France, it was too high for Figo to direct it into the goal.

Italy vs. France in the final. Two very good technical teams. France has the advantage in their attacking arsenal (boom tish), where as Italy has an advantage in defense (including Buffon who is > Barthez).

Looking forward to this.

Also, hopefully the Portugal vs. Germany match is high scoring. Not much better being 3rd than 4th, so they may as well go out all guns blazing!

It sucked even more-so because England played their best game thus far in the cup, and were building some sort of momentum.
