2000 model Commodore Executive.

It's not too bad, had a couple of problems but otherwise OK. Just before I got it there was a clunking sound (think it was something to do with the shockies) one of the indicators had gone, I think both brake lights were out, the fuel indicator had gone wack (ie said I had 200kms left when I ran it empty) so it got a full work up before I got it, but considering the bloke that was driving it before me was an old bloke in his 60's who still had the speed alert set at 80 it made me wonder.

But yeah after that it's been pretty smooth, that was probably a year and a half ago now, one of the indicators periodically stopped working, then worked but I pulled the light out and saw it was just one of the contacts not hitting it properly so that was an easy fix. The brakes are getting dodgy at the moment though.

All in all I can't really complain since I got the car for free from work.

Ohhh okay, it just severely reminded me of Airport West's carpark for some reason...

Why are you taking a photo of your car at a car park? :D

I drive a 2001 Toyota Avalon. Very comfortable car, guzzles petrol like no tomorrow, shit turning circle (and therefore hard to park). Oh yeah and a pansy horn.

I'm probably the only one here who would like to downsize his car. Heck I'll be happy driving a Toyota Yaris - as long as it gets me from point A to point B.

I was nearly going to trade in my BA XR6 because the place i was going to buy was further away from work etc, and i was going to get a Ford Focus...however i found another place which is just as close to work and the city and is a bit more cheaper so i have decided to keep the XR6. I can see myself in 5 years or so probably getting a smaller car if i dont have a family, but i am glad i have kept it for now

I was in this mentality for the longest time, rocked my 84' Corolla hard and was so happy with it. Then my brother got a 300ZX twin turbo and I drove it.

Fuck. Me.

I was sold on getting an import car, perhaps even the exact same car (but a 2+2 instead) but then just lacking funds in general and getting the commodore mentioned above I just didn't care again lol

It'd be nice to get a beasty car or even a zippy one, but I'd be happy to sell off my Commodore at one point, buy a decent nick old style Corolla again and be happy that each refuel is costing me the $30 less than what the Commodore guzzles and still getting the same distance! :)

While I am poor and at uni, My car is an early Ford Laser Ghia. I brought it for 600 dollars and after getting the Air conditioning fixed in two years I have not spent a dime. Early this year I had it converted to run on LPG. So far no problems and I have been doing 800 kilometers per week. $26 LPG (42.9 cents per litre) gets me 450 kilometers. I boast to own the cheapest car to run on these forums.

Gets better....

The cost of the conversion? $1950 dollars and I got the FULL $2000 rebate. $50 profit. :D

Haha, looks cool but doesn't it defeat the purpose of having a wagon when you can't put anything in the back?

(ah, what the hell...)

A mate of mine bought this sweet puppy a few months back for less than $1500 or someshit. He's in South America atm, plotting what to do with it.
