I saw Clerks 2 about a week ago... I enjoyed it as well. Look, you either like Kevin Smith or hate him, and this movie won't change things for either camp. I've seen some bad reviews for the film, but their criticisms are more about the cult of Kevin Smith than the movie itself. And yes, the last act is pretty crude. But damn if it it isn't funny.

And Thank You For Smoking... great film, too. Very very dry, and it isn't as much about smoking as it is about spin. Perfect casting, although Katie Holmes annoyed me... she looked too young for the part. That being said, in part of it she wears just a business shirt and tie, which, you know, must add something to the film.

I saw Clerks 2 yesterday, and some bits were ridiculously funny, other bits unfunny. Overall not a patch on the original, but amusing enough. Still I question whether or not the movie even needed to be made.

The donkey show was off the charts funny though.

I saw Thankyou For Smoking the other day. Very funny film, could've been longer to give it a proper ending, but otherwise no complaints.

8 killer nico patches out of 10.

LADY IN THE WATER

This is a really charming movie imo. This will definitely be victim to the love/hate movie relationship. If you're somebody who can suspend your disbelief and can just accept the fact that you're being told a bedtime story essentially (albeit not for kids), you'll love it. If you're somebody who needs to look into the logistics behind motives and narrative before being able to accept a story, then you're going to be pulling your hair out.

Luckily, I'm the former.

I give Lady in the Water 7.5 naked Gwen Stacey's out of 10.

I love the bizarre scene where Jay is standing naked with his tackle tucked between his legs ala Buffalo Bill.

And his reaction when Silent Bob turns on his song.

GOLD.

Another link to the new Bond trailer which has me absolutely foaming at the mouth. 8)

:run::run::run::run: http://movies.aol.com/casino-royale-jam ... o-features :run::run::run::run:

I think this movie will do for the Bond franchise what Begins did for the Batman franchise. I love that he's a gritty Bond and not the pretty boy that they made Brosnan. I've been excited about this ever since I saw Daniel Craig in Munich, where his acting was superb.

Casino Royale, The Departed, The Science of Sleep, The Prestige and The Fountain are now my most anticipated upcoming movies. Nice to have something to look forward to after the drought of hype-inducing movies since Superman came out.

I ah... went and saw DOA. I have to give them credit for being able to represent what is often seen as a confusing central story line. Story follows the game pretty closely. The characters all get screwed over story line wise. It is pretty piss poor. The best characters get about 2 seconds of screen time.

Don't bother seeing it unless you are follow gamer cinema religiously.

Had a big movie weekend... instead of seeing 1 movie like usual, I saw 2.

Snakes on a Plane: Why is it that the 21st century version of a b- grade movie is some boring romantic comedy when they can make disaster movies like this that actually give you your money's worth at a cinema? 8 bit sexual organs out of 10.

Monster House 3D: Story? Fine. Animation? Good, if you ignore that it was rotoscoped. Voice acting? Good. 3D- ness? I like the Real D system, has a subtle 3D effect without ruining the colours or giving you a headache. The movie itself? Had no soul whatsoever. 6 out of 10.

I saw lady in the water last night. It was nice. You probably don't need a cinema to enjoy it, but it was nice.

Oh man - that does look good.

I just wish I hadn't read the book!

Imagine if the moview is as well scripted as it looks, AND has the plot twists of the book AND keeps the real grittiness of the book as well (which it looks like). If that's the case, I envy anyone who hasn't read the book. This looks like a rip-snorter.

Dragon Tiger Gate

Donnie Yen & Nicholas Tse

Based on a comic book series in hk. It was a bit hard to get into at the start as i dont know anything about the comic, however it does come together as the movie progresses and i was able to enjoy it more. Donnie Yen had a fair bit of control in the movie with the action sequences in which the kung fu, wire and special effects worked really well together. After the succes of SPL in hk, which was another awesome flick with Sammo Hung, this did really well in Asia. Had a bit of a Kung Fu Hustle feel to it now and then. I really enjoyed the flick, action scenes were done very, very well. For all of you HK fans out there, definately get this one.

8.2 cant wait for Donnie to release more HK movies out of 10
