What's going to happen Tin Man won't get enough grease for his joints?

I'll give you this much - you're consistent in that you're wrong about just about everything you speak about in this thread. There's nothing wrong with that because everyone has to learn and I'm always learning myself, but trying to pass off internet broscience as fact won't fly around people who actually study this stuff formally and work in the profession.

Is it actually possible to change your name?
I'll change it to Dr. BrAscience.

Oh man, I just assumed this was a troll....itch wrote:Fat intake should be incidental and haphazardly supplemented in small amounts.
Getting 'more' 'good fats' is not better than getting enough good fats (which is actually a very small amount).
After you guys pimping of Vitargo, I grabbed a tub.
HOLY SHIT!!!!!!
So far I've used it for:
10k run
A cardio bike session (I have a busted foot - so no running for a bit)
A Chest/Back workout.
I'm guesstimating that it provides up to a 5-10% increase in performance, based off the stats off the bike and reps.
I feel amazing during the workouts too - like I could just keep pushing. Also feel great afterwards.
Amazing stuff. I'm sold.

Fuck yeah, once you use it there's no going back it's absolutely amazing. No carb supplement I've ever used comes close to it.

I do mix with protein still taste like shit warm water aeh...
Re: Games Ranch health and fitness discussion
I was being serious. I take it the consensus is that some 'good fats' are so 'good' that the more you eat the better your performance?
Sounds like bro science to me.
I'd recommend 300-500 calories (max) of fat per day. The incidental fat from a plant based diet is plenty. (this is for someone eating 3000 calories per day)
Occasionally, based on intuition, add a specific fat or oil in a small amount.
What not to do:
Bounce from protein shake to protein shake loading up on 'good fats' in between. This is a recipe for failure.

Yeah it turns the protein pretty sour, but who cares. You aren't having pre/post shakes for the taste...cloud wrote:I do mix with protein still taste like shit warm water aeh...
Definitely warm water. Read the instructions on the tub and follow them, no gel clumps whatsoever.

I wonder how much research they had to do to invent a sugar that tastes bad?

Have yet to try Vitargo. Being a vego I've always derived sufficient carbs from food vs those who adhere to more typical bodybuilding paleo diets. Or have I?

Re: Games Ranch health and fitness discussion
This works differently vs carbs from food. Much much much faster glycogen replenishment so it has different applications vs wholefoods.
This stuff is about loading up for peak performance, sustaining peak performance and starting the recovery process post-performance as fast as possible.
I just demolished a bowl of veggies, salad, kangaroo and flaxseed. Plenty of carbs from the veggies and salad, but when it comes time to return to the gym tomorrow I ain't taking veggies in my pre or post shakes...

Re: Games Ranch health and fitness discussion
haha based on their conclusion I can see why you'd like me to do that.
This is pretty much the polar opposite of the "protein is worse than cancer" stuff from a few weeks back.
If you read their paper you can see they acknowledge the limitations of the study.
A pure vegan approach can be absolutely beneficial to a person just as much as it can send them flying backwards. It's a case of knowing the limitations imposed by cutting out certain foods and food groups, and finding appropriate sources to replace them with that fit in with your lifestyle/beliefs.
All forms of vegetarians are just as capable of shoving shit into their mouths and sabotaging their health, performance and physiques as any meat-eater.

A lot of people take up a vegetarian lifestyle of some form due to the belief that they will increase health and potentially change their body composition....not realising that when you remove things from your diet you really should replace them.Potential limitations of our results are due to the fact that the survey was based on cross-sectional data. Therefore, no statements can be made whether the poorer health in vegetarians in our study is caused by their dietary habit or if they consume this form of diet due to their poorer health status. We cannot state whether a causal relationship exists, but describe ascertained associations

Re: Games Ranch health and fitness discussion
I could do a study for 18 months on a group of Peppermint Lounges and conclude that the vegan approach is clearly the way to go.
Conversely I could grab a group of vegans who don't eat animal products but consume copious amounts of crap and tell you the lifestyle is working against them.
Poor food choices > everything else.
