What was particularly amusing about this game was the way that the majority of Chelsea players were behaving like spoilt brats on the pitch. Making horribly mistimed challenges then complaining or being indignant (lol @ Ivanovic) when they were subsequently carded. That certainly aided our performance, though there was some good performances from some of our young players coming through.

The number of impressive results like this this season has been fantastic (just a shame that they've been punctuated by some horrible performances against many weaker sides).

Beat Arsenal at the Emirates (1-0 had more possession, and committed less fouls).
Came back from 4-0 down to draw with Arsenal at home in the comeback of the season.
Beat Chelsea 4-3 in the Carling Cup at Stamford Bridge (both teams playing young teams).
Beat Liverpool 3-1 at St James'.
Drew 2-2 away at Stamford Bridge.
Drew with Manure at home.
Flogged Aston Villa 6-0.
Beat Everton away.
Belted Sunderland 5-1.
Drew 1-1 at home with Chelsea.

Yeah, some really good results that show they should never had fallen so far as to be relegated. Still, at least that cleared out the rot.

Positives from this season:
Defence is getting reasonably good now
Tiote and Guiterrez in excellent form
Those results listed above with special mention to 5under1and

Negatives:
Inconsistency
Hughton sacking
Carrol sale
Ben Arfa being assaulted by de jong
Likelihood of losing two of our better players before the next season

They would want to be spending big with the carroll cash, and try and get in the top half, with half an eye on europa league in the next two years.

Can anyone briefly explain the Gold Coast situation?
I don't understand Clive Palmers angle. The media have not explained this very well.

Clive Palmers was being a douche.
Has been told to stfu
Continued to be a douche
Warned some more
He changed the strip to have "freedom of speech" on it
FFA Cracked it because it was an unsanctioned strip
Palmer douches out some more
FFA Pulls the pin on his clubs licence

Insert stuff inbetween.

Yeah the media haven't really covered it well.

He was barely touched, obvious dive and no call.

Like he said in the post match interview - 'that's football'. I was there, roar were the better team but I didn't want to see them win like that.

Mariners deserved to win unfortunately. WSW really missed Hersi. Manchester United winning again is meh money plus success plus money breeds success.

Yet they haven't been throwing stupid amounts of money around like some other clubs. Very impressed with this season. A champion team rather than a team of champions.

Happy that Southampton have lifted up the ladder too.

Just need Stoke to avoid relegation now. Since I will be visiting in laws over there and was hoping to catch one of their games (preferably in the EPL).

I think expectations are so low for Australia that at worst we'll meet them.
