I was up late last night, put the soccer on, it just won me over ahead of lawn bowls and poker.

Liverpool vs Everton... Everton dude makes a great run down the right, crosses it into the box, set up for Cahill to knock it in the back of the net.
Instead of giving his team mate a thumbs up or something for setting it up, he does the usual shadow box to the corner post, the same team mate comes up to congratulate him as he waves his dick at the crowd as all soccer players have to do after scoring... Cahill gives him the old fuck off forearm to the chest... so his team mate shunts him as he runs off to entertain another section of the crowd.

The rest of the game (before and after the goal) Cahill was constantly whinging at the ref and other players.

Tim Cahill?
more like Tim GAYhill... am i rite??

LOL

He's a bit of a dick is Tim Cahill.

Fantastic player for Everton though. Despite not being technically that good, his timing and positioning is great, and he has more than a canny knack for scoring goals.

Oh, and sucked in Liverpool!

Hardly gloating.

The next two matches for us are extremely important.

James Perch MUST be dropped.

You got your wish. Perch on the bench and a win for newcastle.

Massive fortnight ahead now. Arsenal in carling cup at home, then sunderland, then arsenal in EPL away.

Arsenal match tomorrow morning should be interesting to see who Hughton plays, keeping in mind that we have the derby on Sunday.

Perchy did start, but was played in the centre. He was ok and made some good tackles/interceptions.

Disappointing result, but I still enjoyed watching the match. Some crap officialdom but in the end the team that was better on the night clearly won.

When we stuck Carroll, Jonas and barton on our attack looked quite potent, but us pushing hard for reply goals was always going to open up space at the back for them. Good finishing from Walcott and Bendtner.

It's all about Sunday now.

It was a fair crack from Smith. Good save from their keeper though blind ref missed that and gave it as a GK.

They were showing the villa/birmingham game, nearly went to bed since I have a 5am start tomorrow.

Game switches over the newcastle-sunderland at the 22' mark.

What a time to start. Good first half so far.

Decent first half.

Also, did anyone see Nani's goal against spurs? what a disaster. I guess that evens up the goal difference for them for last season.

lol should have been a penalty in the first place.

A lesson learned for everyone. Play the whistle.

I blame Torres for opening that can of worms. Though he blatantly cheated and stole the dead ball ;)

The Newcastle game was on from the start you just needed to press red.

That was an effing awesome game, I'm still buzzing from it now. Had it all, 5 Newcastle goals including a hat-trick and a penalty, plus a Bramble red-card!

Fantastic.

I think I will watch the replay tonight if its on.

It was a good match though. The ref was a bit enthusiastic with the bookings, though it didnt impact on the result.

Ameobi's second goal was a thing of beauty.

I like ameobi. He was one of their best players before the relegation. Could easily have jumped ship but stuck around.

I was going to skip watching this game, have to start work at 5. Couldnt sleep so got up and watched it. Currently its half time.

Pre-game musings: Arsenal 2nd. Beat newcastle 4-0 (both teams with second sides) in carling cup. No serious prospects for winning this game, though with the full side in I would expect a decent contest. Predicted a 2-0 loss.

Half time musings: What the fuck. Arsenal dominating possession 65% or so, 8-0 in corner count. AMAZING save by Krul, diving to his left and palmed a close quarters shot away. 45th minute and Carroll has the nerve to header a goal in from a free kick. 1-0 AHEAD ffs.

Still not confident they will win this, hopefully the defense holds up because that has been key so far. Definitely going to watch the 2nd half now. I hope I dont regret this decision.

66th minute, newcastle get their 1st and 2nd corners

Damn have arsenal been close. 2 off the crossbar, one nearly a shot directly in front except for a lucky deflection.

That was fantastic. A deserved result.

At the end of the season you'll be able to count on one hand the number of teams that go to Arsenal, have more possession, commit less fouls, pickup fewer cards and leave with 3 points.
