What is it with motocross and complete scrubbery. Everyone is a scrubber, just look like total fuckwits. I don't get the excitement of watching people do the same tricks one after another, double backflip was gutsy though I'll give him that!
Complete scrubbery? You're probably talking about hte Metal Mulisha fellas... and Travis Pastrana is not one of them. He's just a kid that loves riding a trail bike and happens to be insanely talented and also a little crazy.
He's not one of the bad ass dudes that think they're cool.
The Metal Mulisha ruined that shit by trying too hard to be tough guys of Freestyle. Mike Metzger is the only Metal Mulisha guy i really like. Even with him, i think he left it. Travis has always been against what those guys represented. The only respect between those guys and him is for what each other are capable of (Brian Deegan has stated that Travis Pastrana is a dork etc. but said that he would still school anyone on a trail bike).
I agree Crusty went to shit. Travis and the Nitro Circus owns it. It's about talented guys having fun on trail bikes... not about being tough cunts.
But you can't deny that Enslow's jump in Crusty 1 was pretty kickass I owe it to that series for my (somewhat tame) interest in White Zombie.
I'd never really been into any vids like that before or since the first three Crusty movies, but damn what they did, they did well (except for Bubba. WTF.).
Oh fucking oath it was excellent. I still go watch Metal Mulisha and Crusty if they come to Australia. I love my trail bikes... and really love Freestyle Motocross. I'm not the fondest of the image they try to create... but that doesn't stop me enjoying watching them ride.
Seth has had some of the best crashes i've ever seen. I especially like where he overshot the world record jump by like 30ft and shattered the front of his skull by having the nut on his clutch lever go through his goggles and forehead. It's amazing someone will continue to ride after that.
get a hold of travis pastrana nitro circus, he lands a double backflip in that to, but this one just recent is such a smoother landing and of course the first time in the x games
