Re: MetallicA fans...
I'm guilty of owning 4 copies of that over the years. 1 tape, 1 vinyl 1 standard CD and 1 Limited Signature Edition Gold CD which was part of a Five Album Set, all still wrapped and unplayed with original receipt from their 93 Black Album Tour.

Re: MetallicA fans...
They were the first metal band to play Glastonbury and there were protests to get them removed because of this and also because James enjoys going bear hunting.
Anyway in true Metallica style they step it up and blow Glastonbury away. Full concert:

Re: MetallicA fans...
Anyone heard this? I just did a quick preview and the drums sound better. Also interesting is in the suggestions is a video "...and Justice for Jason" which I assume is a better version of Justice with enhanced bass guitar. Will have a listen later and if worthy rip it to MP3.

St Anger's was always an awesome album, but it just didn't sound awesome. This cover reveals the hidden awesomeness.

Re: MetallicA fans...
yeah, it was pretty good. I actually ripped the DVD performance that was included since the sound was way better. I just can't believe they thought that drumkit sounded good enough to release.

Re: MetallicA fans...
I thought the lyrics were just crap to say the least. There was a kid, feel off the grid, took a lid, that was a-cid, his name was Sid, haha I kid.

3pm Syd time tomorrow Sunday 7th Feb: MetallicA Live Stream
I reckon they will take this opportunity to try one of their new songs live. That'll be cool.
New Stage Production debut as well: Night Before Concert

Did anyone watch it? It was on at 4am here so gave it a miss.

Re: MetallicA fans...
Yeah I watched it. The old farts sounded good. No new song, but a few new transitions between songs and new riff jams.

Re: MetallicA fans...
I just saw the set list and there was nothing from this century, in fact only 2 songs from the last 20yrs if you don't count the Thin Lizzy cover. Quite surprised there was zero nadda nothing from Death Magnetic.

You were probably listening to it at 4ohms. Try listening to it on superior 8ohm speakers!

It's thrashier than death magnetic (which I also liked, cyanide is an awesome song), it just doesn't sound like it was produced in the 80s

Happy with that. It came on tripple j while I was at my fav seedy pub that hosts metal gigs. In an internet connected world it was nice analogue surprise.
