There are 4 nights of special Metclub events to celebrate MetallicA's 30 years. 2 nights in and they have played and released 2 of the 4 songs. And they are awesome songs. With another 2 unreleased songs and 2 nights to go, I hope they keep up the pattern!
Looks like they have kept up the pattern! 3rd night of 30th anniversary fan event and 3rd new previously unknown / unreleased song cut from Death Magnetic. Some of the riffs from mission MetallicA were referred to songs called 'Hellbound' and 'Hell and Back', however tonight confirmed name for these long awaited riffs as 'Hell and Back'. I will upload as soon as I get the Metclub download code. Cant wait to hear it and looking forward another new song tomorrow night! Wooo!!!!

Here are the 320kbps mp3 versions of the songs MetallicA gave to Metclubers. These downloads did come with a disclaimer from MetallicA about these being raw / not finished. But I think the quality is great. Shitloads better than youtube. Enjoy:

I am on a MetallicA high atm. What a fucking awesome thing for them to do for their fans to celebrate 30 years. We all get an awesome half album, they perform 4 intimate concerts for their fans with guest legends and songs played live that they have never played live before - that fans have been dying them to play live for decades (eg To Live is to Die).

Third night setlist:

1. Suicide & Redemption
2. Master of Puppets
3. ...And Justice For All
4. Of Wolf And Man
5. Fade To Black
6. The Thing That Should Not Be
7. I Disappear
8. The Outlaw Torn
9. Hell And Back (Premiere)
10. Blitzkrieg (With clubber Joseph Guariglia)
11. For Whom The Bell Tolls (With Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains ))
12. Nothing Else Matters (With Jerry Cantrell)
13. So What! (With Animal from the Anti-Nowhere League)
14. Tuesday's Gone (With Gary Rossington (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Jerry Cantrell, Jim Martin (Faith No More) and Pepper Keenan)
15. Fuel (With Jason Newsted)
16. Fight Fire With Fire (With Jason Newsted)
17. Die, Die My Darling (With Glenn Danzig (Misfits, Danzig))
18. Last Caress (With Glenn Danzig)
19. Green Hell (With Glenn Danzig)
20. Rapid Fire (With Rob Halford (Judas Priest))
21. Seek And Destroy (With Jerry Cantrell, Pepper Keenan, Jason Newsted, Jim Martin, Glenn Danzig, Animal, Soul Rebels and Lääz Rockit)

Wow, Glenn Danzig. James once said he would gladly give up vocals if he could get Glenn onboard. Apparently he asked him once but Glenn wasn't interested.

Looks like Dave Mustaine might get a little Whiplash tonite perhaps, or just The Four Horseman. Who knows.

Also, James' vocals on Hell & Back remind me a hell of a lot of St. Anger. Do not like.

MetallicA put on another (4th and final) killer night for their fans to celebrate their 30 years! Jamming with more awesome guests including playing Iron Man and Paranoid with Ozzy Osbourne. Will post setlist when compiled. Here is the 4th free song that was cut from Death Magnetic. Listening first time through now and maybe its the excitment, but outta the 4, this is my favourite so far! Hear ya go:

Rebel of Babylon

They are still going - Jason played and SUNG Whiplash (I like Jasons vocals) and they just played Phantom Lord and Jump in the Fire with Dave. Nice.

Maybe, but 27 years of people asking about the Metallica days would get to ya. He said in an interview prior to Endgame that people still come up to him on the street and ask him about it. It was 2yrs of his life, if it didn't happen we wouldn't have the awesome stuff he put out.

For quite a while there, James voice sounded really shit live. I grimace at some late 90's early 2000's live recordings. However it is not just my opinion that he improved remarkably after rehab. And when I compare their 2 latest world tours I attended - He sounded leagues better during the Death Magnetic tour compared to the St Anger tour.

About the MetallicA games, there was that MetallicA car combat game = cancelled :( pity, it was looked good... Then the other MetallicA game - Guitar Hero MetallicA

The above announcement in my previous post was a MetallicA music festival in the USA - called Orion.

Just sharing this interesting lil clip of James putting down some guitar for Unforgiven 3:
