The voice is probably the worst I've heard for any character.Ausmerican accents are hard enough to take as it is.
They just ran a short "story" on Ten News and it didn't look good at all.
Very unimpressed at this point...I'm going to have to be blown away in the first few minutes and based on the promos I've seen,it's not going to happen.
Ten will try and push it given the promo's over the last God-knows how long. But, look at the conundrum: Yasmin lasted a week with shitloads of promotion, and The Wedge lasted aaages. Stupid unpredictable Aussie TV. Grrr.
I found out how they're making this today. The interviews are shot live, in front of an audience, and then an actor is off camera with motion capture dots on his face so all of his expressions are accurate, and after the interviews are finished, it's all rendered out and delivered a week or two later. Interesting.
Ronnie Johns show is back!!, who cares about this show which will be crap probably...i'll still watch it to see what its like just how i did with the wedge....but at least Ronnie Johns is back

Well, it'd barely lasted 180 seconds before I got sick to fucking death of it. The American accent (which has sickly Australian mannerisms coming through), the fake laughter... that zoom-in to focus on his thoughts?
Pat Rafter made no indication that the "audience" was even there, because it isn't...so his attention stays firmly on whoever is being Tench in the studio. It's sterile and laboured.
