Re: The Official Motorsport thread
They've appealed. If it was any other race, esp. one that didn't decide a world championship something would come of it. Can't see them reversing it after celebrations crowning Verstappen have been broadcast. What a shame for the season to end so controversially.

Re: The Official Motorsport thread
A week on and this still stinks. A lot of people are pointing to Max getting some luck in Abu Dhabi. Luck is being able to pit for tyres and reduce the margin to Lewis under a safety car which he did. Masi fluffing decisions and changing on the fly rules he'd previously made a point of adhering to is not luck. People also saying Lewis should've pitted for tyres. There was no scenario under the rules that required he do so.

Re: The Official Motorsport thread
People who are saying Lewis should've pitted clearly don't understand F1.
If Lewis had pitted, Max would've stayed out to gain track position, and at that point in time it was unknown if the race would even restart or end under the safety car. Plus Max's tyres weren't anywhere near as old at that point too due to him getting a free stop under the VSC, so even if Lewis did pit and Max stayed out, AND the race restarted Lewis wouldn't have had the same tyre advantage that Max ended up with.

Remembering my favourite looking F1 car. The combination old West livery and the horns look awesome IMO. And of course the engine sound.

Re: The Official Motorsport thread
Masi removed as race director. FIA not releasing investigation details, likely avoiding having to publicly admit Masi did the wrong thing because to do so would have HAM fans up in arms to void the result, which they're doing anyway.

Re: The Official Motorsport thread
Wow, that's pretty big news. Hopefully they'll also tighten the rules around the team bosses being able to speak directly to the race director during the race and influence decisions.
