I had to pull one out of a chimney today and he didn't like it at all.
After fifteen minutes of the most high pitched screaming you've ever heard from an animal(not me),I managed to get a hold on his tail and he swung around and hooked his teeth into my gloved hand.
Try pulling your hand out of a grated fireplace when a Brushtail has his four front teeth locked into your index finger,I'll bet you panic and make a mess of yourself.I had to distract the mongrel with my other hand so he'd let go.
So my rigger glove had a good rip in it,my finger only had a slight indentation,I have chimney soot in my eyes still and up my nose and finally the possum was taken outside and released to heavy traffic.
My advice to you all - get an office job.
A possum nearly took my finger off today
