Internet Filter.
These bullshit trials are going ahead, however for this bullshit MANDATORY internet censorship policy to be 'promoted' into law, the policy has to be approved by both the lower and upper house of Australian Government. The 'Government' in 'power' has control of the lower house
For policy to become law, the same policy has to be approved by the upper and lower house. Due to the number of seats held, If the Greens and Liberals vote against Labor for Internet Censortship policy in the Senate, the the bullshit MANDATORY internet censorship policy wont become law.
There is a point to showing up to the demonstrations and protesting this shit. Make a big noise... If the Liberals were smart and wanted to win the next election, then they should vote against this China like- MANDATORY internet filtering.
All this consideration for internet censorship and information gained during the process, promotes the idea of internet censorship to the people in power, combine this with any global agenda, and its just a matter of time... unless we make a big enough statement. First Australia, then the world...

Well they are more interested in getting involved and telling us how to run our daily lives and how to think then censor things.mech wrote:Yep, right-wingers are only against freedom, you are so correct. You could not have two politicians more aligned from a social perspective ie: Howard and Rudd. The only variable is we're yet to see if Rudd is as reactionary as Howard. He's certainly as opportunistic. Time will show how Rudd reacts when backed into a corner.Cletus wrote:Well...people did vote for krudd.
If I was starving hungry and only had the choice of two chocolate bars and one was called "Old and Bitter" and the other was called "The Taste of Shit" then I think I'd take Old and Bitter every time.
Because sometimes books, chocolate bars and politicians are best judged by their covers...or wrappers....or their name.
