I skipped directly to the 1.30 mark and was under the assumption Trump didn't know she was talking about QAnon here, so my bad for not getting the context right. Moreover, I hadn't even heard of QAnon up to that point. I don't consider myself to be under a rock, so to not have heard about QAnon says to me that they're probably not relevant which is why I couldn't understand people are getting upset over this. But I can now see why some people aren't happy about it, it's probably similar to a Democrat not denouncing Antifa (even though I wouldn't put QAnon on their level).

You've done well to avoid Qanon to date. Their garbage has amplified multiple times over since COVID to the point where some of my close mates are now posting their memes and conspiracies. It all comes out of the US and it's all an attempt to mitigate the shit job Trump has done. For example people were posting third hand hearsay about Australian hospitals paying relatives of deceased people $18,000 to list the cause of death as COVID, thus inflating the COVID death count as per the 'Plannedemic'. This is lifted straight from a US story (again where all the consipiracy shite comes from) reporting Medicare in the US pays $13,000 if a COVID-19 patient on Medicare is admitted. The local version even comes complete with a rough USD to AUD currency conversion. Laypeople with no insight into how public hospitals work believing simplistic corruption scenarios that sound as though they've come from some rambling drunk dude at a pub. My social media is full to the brim with this stuff.

It's irritating to see my mates being influenced by it but at the same time I know a lot of them have businesses that are drying up so they would be feeling all kinds of pressure.
