I bet he was trying to ride the stringray. Or grab its tail.
The guy died less then 12 hours ago and you're trying to make jokes about it.
reports say that he was swimming right above the sting-ray when it's metre long tail flicked upwards like the tail of a scorpion right into his chest. a freak accident indeed...

Remind's me of Vzzzbx's "Is Don Is Dead".
But it's true - he probably was trying to do something like that. And he probably would say "Crikey" and make light of it. I'm not sure why I feel a little bit saddened by his death, but I do. He was an embarrassing idiot at times, but he seemed to remain an ordinary bloke. I guess that's the endearing part of his personality.

well actually, if you read the comic, you'll find that it's quite appropriate, as at the moment, the main character of the strip is in heaven...Scullibundo wrote:That's neither funny nor appropriate.

I think it's pretty obvious that I meant appropriate in terms of the thread you're posting it in.unfnknblvbl wrote:well actually, if you read the comic, you'll find that it's quite appropriate, as at the moment, the main character of the strip is in heaven...Scullibundo wrote:That's neither funny nor appropriate.
I find joking about somebody's death, especially somebody as well loved around not just Aus, but the world, one day after their death to be very tasteless and disrespectful.

WTF? whoever laughs at 2,973 people dead in one of the most high scale massacres of recent years is a cockhead, you deserve to be spat on, you mutherfucking slags.mech wrote:Plenty of people on this forum think it's hilarious to joke about thousands of people dying on September 11...
watching Enough Rope last night with Steve from 2003, back then i would of laughed and made fun of him, because he is a quirky character, he does say and do whack stuff.
but watching him now makes you think that despite all his 'sillyness,' he was a true bloke that had immense love and passion for what he did, more than a lot of people combined.
During his time, he was known as the Crocodile Hunter....I think that his second alias, if you will, the Wildlife Warrior truly brands his legacy. it is only now that poeple realise what he did for wildlife and conservation....good on ya Steve.....

I don't think anyone here finds September 11 hilarious to joke about (although people love to speculate that it was staged etc.). I'd like too see how many names of the people that died they knew if they were joking about it though.mech wrote:Plenty of people on this forum think it's hilarious to joke about thousands of people dying on September 11... at least this is just one guy for a change.
This is being disrespectful to a person specifically. IMO it's worse.
