Nigerian eBay scammers

Post by PhoneMonkey »

Put an item up for sale on eBay only to have it won by a hijacked US account. Here is what he had to say:

Hi, I would like to pay for this item via Bank Transfer/Postal Order, you know
my address is in US,but right now i'm in Nigeria,i was sent there on a
Bussiness Trip, and i want to give it to the Head of the Department as a
gift, so i will like to know if you can ship it to Nigeria,i dont mind
paying any amount for the shipping cost, pls if you can do this for me
i'll be very grateful.if you accept kindly send your full name and
account details which am going to send it to.If you want me to pay via
Postal Order kindly send me your full name and address so that payment
will be made as soon as possible.
Thanks.

Firsly I said I only post to Australia. Second of all why the fuck would I give a Nigerian my home address? So he can send his Nigerian goon buddies to come and kill my family and loot my home?

Jesus fucking christ eBay is getting bad.

What exactly was it that he wanted to give to the Head of the Department as a gift?

Hehe nah. I was expecting something like she was the daughter of the great Nigerian King Esaba Wungariu and she needed my help to get out of Nigeria due to an arranged wedding and to collect a hansom amount of cash.

Must admit eBay killed the account pretty quickly once I told them.
