Woke up this morning extra early for a job interview. Get a txt at 730am 'Dude, sorry it's late notice but I got a spare ticket for Faith No More tonite. Wanna go?'

So I just got back from the Auckland gig and I'll tell you what, you're in for a treat man. A fucking treat. Opened with some old school song 'Reunion' then onto 'From Out of Nowhere' then there were a couple of songs I wasn't overly familiar with, then 'Jizzlobber' and wait till you hear the lyrics to that. Ahahahahhaha, won't ruin that for you but it's a bit of a shock.

I'll tell you what, should just be called 'The Mike Patton Show' That man, is a fucking legend and a real entertainer. Someone threw a shoe onstage during 'Evidence' and he was crouched down during a slow part of the song and started sniffing the sneaker, and it wasn't just a one off, he sniffed andsniffed 'Got a taste of evidence' he'd sing and then slowly rose up and then through the sneaker into the crowd after many more sniffs. Hahhaha, gold.

The whole sound of the gig was phenomenal, Mikes voice, I know it's good but to hear it in person and how versatile it is.

One part of the show when he was getting the audience to sing, after he said 'Man, you guys sound like fucking wombats' so expect you guys to be told you sound like kiwis or a Tuatara or something NZ related.

Oh and is Tom Jones touring over there? Cos you're in for a treat! TOM JONES, TOM JONES, TOM JONES!

I'm following the keyboardist on Twitter and they said Tom Jones is staying in their hotel, Rod's last tweet was: "i was just in Tom Jones hotel room. with Tom Jones."

So he came on stage with them?! That's madddd. It won't happen here. Unfortunately I'm going to a festival show, so it's going to be much shorter. I cannot fucking wait for this. I'm a huge Patton fan and I saw him with Fantomas last year. Really itching for more.

Two songs I really want to hear on Saturday: Caffeine and Jizzlobber.

No Caffeine in Auck but set list may be different for you guys with a few changes. All I wanted to hear was Gentle Art of Making Enemies and when I saw 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY FUCKER' tshirts on sale, I was confident they'd play it and they did.

They also played a Crowded House song then asked if there was one Kiwi in the band or two and then said we didn't even know. Man he gave us shit tonite but he also gave us a few laughs. One guy I'd love to have a beer with.

Fucking what? We Care a Lot? Oh man, we never got that 'We care a lot about Transformers cos there's more than meets the eye!'. A couple of songs there that weren't played but I can't name them due to there being about 4-5 songs I'm not familiar with. I've heard them, but couldn't name them.

It's got the tour dates on the back, so it should be slightly different. As Tomby said above there was a 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY FUCKER' yellow shirt available, farrrk brain is too fried to describe the others.
