I like to buy from the US hobby stores so it's not a big surprise: just more macross goodness to upgrade the *collection. Had to wait ages for yamato to finally release these even though it was obvious they had to come so they could milk the vf-22 mold:

But you know what? There are some pretty good deals local as well. Recently I had bought MP starscream for 89 and now I can see them going for half price at toy stores. Good bargain there.

*but to be honest I would still probably buy these imported things very very slowly regardless, if I felt the strong enough urge. I would have to be very very selective though. (limiting myself to just essentials, never buying multiples or anything and being very fussy looking for tiny flaws in reviews to give an excuse to pass it until sale time)

If on the West Coast and need clothes and stuff, Ross - Dress For Less is your friend. Ridiculous prices on labels (Calvin Klein, Nautica, Guess etc).

If you're going to NYC, then hit up Century 21 down near ground Zero for similar things.

Last year the US dollar climbed sky high because of the retreat to safe T-Bills since there wasn't a bank you couldn't trust with large amounts of cash.

That's more like it actually, safety and the denomination that all debt is held in.

Chances are good that the Fed will pull liquidity from the system again soon which will rape the equity markets again and then create another flight back into T's.

The seasaw is getting very very hard to balance but they prob have a little bit of play time left.. No catastrophic collapse while Marto is away I would think.
