2006 AFL Grand Final: West Coast vs Sydney

I pity the fool who repeats what you have been saying in public, he is now a quality forward, his results this year show that. Fev may have kicked a lot of goals in a shit team but there's no one else to kick them, West Coast has many more scoring options and the midfield kicks a lot as well, it is a lot like the Crows situation, they have lots of players who score the goals but lack that key forward, hence they couldn't get to the GF.
Says nothing, except that you guys really need to stop reading the West Australian
Lynch is not a quality forward. He may very well be one in the next couple of years... but at the moment he is best described as 'serviceable'. And he certainly doesn't fulfill the key forward role that would take the Eagles to the next level.
His results are artificially inflated.
And do you really think that he was the difference this year? C'mon - did he do anything that wasn't replaceable yesterday? And even if you do rate him as the difference... wow - a five point turnaround from last year
And if Carlton offered to swap Fev for Lynch you would take it in heartbeat.
As for the Crows... when fully fit their forward line with Riccuito, Burton, and Henschell wasn't too bad... not too bad at all. But meh, injuries are a part of success... and the Crows sucked in this regard.
Bring on trade week!

In light of his performance throughout the year culminating in a premiership medal and best forward on the ground in the Grand Final honours, your Lynch hate is really sad Darwi. If he choked as hard as Hall I would agree with you but Lynch has been a revelation this year, especially in the second half of the season and he took another step up during the finals. He is our forward line, which is highlighted by how poorly we play when he's forced to play in the ruck. Even Little Vossy rates him, and I'm sure he's been influenced by the opinions of his Dad, who I bet is able to recognise talent when he sees it.
I read this somewhere but it's all true. We've had a great midfield for a while now, last year we found a defence and this year we've found THE BIG UNIT!!!
Of course I do. Who else stepped up as much as Lynch from last year? No one. In fact many players played better throughout 2005 than they did this year.Darwi wrote:And do you really think that he was the difference this year?

I didn't realise how many of them failed to shake the hands of those kids.
I only saw Wirrpunda up there when he snubbed off his fellow indigenous minor.
Can't remember who it was, but one or two of the WC players have been charged (?not sure of details?) over swearing during interviews.
One of them went at the end of an interview - "THAT WAS FUCKING AWSOME!!!"

SourceEagles defender David Wirrpanda plans to make amends for not shaking the hand of the child who handed him his medallion.
Wirrpanda received his medallion from an indigenous child and the incident was particularly embarrassing for the veteran.
Wirrpanda is well-known for his community work and has set up a foundation in his name to help indigenous children.
“I’ve just seen the footage this morning, I didn’t realise,” Wirrpanda said yesterday.
“To that little person who handed me the medallion, I would be going out of my way to do what I can, whether it’s sending a signed jumper or getting the family over to have dinner, or whatever.”
Guilt trip for the win. What's next, Darren Glass apologising for making Big Bad Barry look like an incompetent buffoon in front of millions of fans?

Up the mighty Eagles. I've been telling every mother f**ker all year we will win the flag. I even won a gentlemen $100 bet out of it. Wat a brilliant game. One of the greatest modern day rivalries. Apparently the 2006 Premiership DVD was out yesterday. Time to get that DVD and watch the game over and over...............
Oh and as for all you rugby league/union supporters in here. If you want to continue whinging and whining about that GF game, go get a box of tissues and have a cry about it. Try playing a real game; noit that man handling gay rugby tackling shit.
