The nudity and sex scenes are also written in the books. They don't seem to have been added gratuitously to the show. I think the show has actually tamed down quite a bit of it.

Much of the back history revolves around incest and inbreeding and dragons. The present story revolves around incest and inbreeding and dragons. Those three things each demand a certain amount of titty exposure. I shouldn't even need to find the proper mathematical formula because it's self explanatory.

Saw it coming - pretty graphic though. Surprised how faithful it was to the book. It's a shame because from now on the narrative diverges like a mother fucker in the books.

I didn't see any of that coming, what the fuck?! I always felt the story was centered on the Stark family, all that's left is Jon Snow, the 2 younger bros, Sansa (any point to her?) and 'Girl'.

Would I be wrong to believe that it'll all tie back to Daenerys kicking some major ass with her dragons?

The books move a fair way away from the Starks after the Red Wedding. They focus quite heavily on the Lannisters and particularly Cersei and Tyrion for a while. Jon Snow gets featured a fair bit as well. Unfortunately Daenerys story gets bogged down in the later books. It will be interesting to see how the show deals with the Tyrion and Daenerys arcs. Character to watch now is Stannis Baratheon - he kicks arse and takes names in the last two books something fierce. Daenerys does get a fair bit of build up but there is a twist in the story during the latest book that was released. I liked it but I felt it diluted the story a bit. Just hope Martin finishes the books before the series catches up to him. I somehow doubt it though which is shit. It's Robert Jordan all over again.
