Re: Game of Thrones [TV HBO]
I've started reading the first book. It's quite different to the tv show in that it's all told in flashback from where Jon Snow rules the seven kingdoms. It's a bit of a massive spoiler to start off with and I'm not 50 pages in yet. I'm not sure reading is such a good idea.
Re: Game of Thrones [TV HBO]
I havent seen any of the episodes but I have read all the books. I must have missed the part where its told in flashback. I thought it was all POV from the characters?

Re: Game of Thrones [TV HBO]
Wish the episodes were two hours long. That last ep (Tyrion marrying Sansa/ Samwell killing one of the Others) was superb. I had to watch the exchange between Arya and The Hound a couple of times.
And what about that little cunt, Joffrey! I hope he lasts right to the end of the story, that little cunt. And then, right at the end, bang. Cap in his ass.
Stannis' burning of the leeches was a bit of an anticlimax though. When I watch a burning of the leeches, quite frankly I'd like a bit more coruscation thanks. And sizzle.

Re: Game of Thrones [TV HBO]
I was thinking when they switched straight away to the wedding that joffery's wine was going to turn to blood or that his face would start melting. Oh well maybe next time.
Please tell me samwell was smart enough to pick up the dagger or at least go back for it.

Re: Game of Thrones [TV HBO]
I know, right? He's completely unarmed otherwise, plus the dagger is obviously awesome.
Much better than the last episode. It was too much to bear.

I'm pretty sure he left the dagger and never picked it up. IGN list the difference each week between series and the books. In the books he killed the creatures earlier on with the knife when they where outside the wall

I just haven't done TV for years but that's no excuse in today's world. I'm going to buy a season of this and get myself hooked.

Yeah start at Season 1 and forge through, it's excellent tv.
Normally I wouldn't go within a million miles of the fantasy genre, but I'm even considering going full neckbeard and getting the books.

Not sure about this new character. If I were the Kalessi I would've slapped that stupid looking smirk off his stupid looking face.
And then I would've fiddled with my boobs some...

Re: Game of Thrones [TV HBO]
You knew he was going to be in the show for more than that one appearance because his name was Dario and the other two were named something like Hackick67ounbfjkrgh and mercahango6tbgnvnxd which you're obviously never going to remember. But you'll remember Dario easily enough.
And it's certainly about time we got some more naked Daenerys Targaryen.

Re: Game of Thrones [TV HBO]
Dario is a pretty important minor character in the books, he'll be around for a while now.

Re: Game of Thrones [TV HBO]
I think that if they had fake tits in the show.. it would seriously compromise the atmosphere... sounds funny to say but this is Game of Thrones. There is no place for fake titties.
