Nah Tomby's right, it was 1939 and it is actually about 47.1 or so but the BOM decided to 'adjust' the temperatures in their data set so it magically lost a degree. So really we got nowhere near the record yesterday, a huge letdown for the local media and for a while Melbourne were hotter than us lol
