I'm really getting fed up with Melbourne. I think we get four months of warmish weather per year. Of those four months, it gets broken up by two hot days and three cold and wet days. the last half of the last month of Spring, some of summer and the first two weeks of Autumn. But with cold days in between. Glad they use the term climate change now. Global Warming? Yes please.

Why? it's 12.3 degrees right now, in the middle of a spring day.

It's a warm and humid day in Hong Kong right now. Loving it since grizzly was still a bit cool.

I'm 99% sure I get Seasonal Affective Disorder over winter, because as soon as the weather turns sunny and warm I feel a 100% better about everything in the universe.

Winter can go and fuck itself.

Me too, I've suffered from this for most of my adult life.

Let's be happy that there's something for everyone in today's weather. It's very egalitarian.

Humid as a cunt here (about two notches below "scrotum in an armpit" on the Lepo Scale).

I've turned to alcohol.

My many years in FNQ has made me immune to today's heat, no problem at all.

The only time I start to struggle in Melbourne is when it goes up above 42/43 and then you have those motherfucker nights where it's like 36 at midnight.

Thankfully the house we're building has air con in the important rooms - bedroom, lounge room and man cave.

If the heat is dry it can do what it likes. A smidge of moisture in the air and I'm reduced to an incoherent, whinging mess. On humid days you'd find me indoors in front of an air conditioner with its remote stuffed down my pants. Humidity is bearable when on holidays because you're never far from a pool or a drink and you can wear a smock or less. It's those humid business days that kill. I recall Brisbane work trips and seeing business people sweating like banshees on the way to work at 7:30am. That isn't civilisation.

See, that wouldn't happen if Queensland had daylight savings, business men would be sweaty at 830 instead of 730. Fucken Queensland. I'm going to go back to NZ for daylight savings and late evening bbqs in the sunset.

Get fucked tombstone! In your world we'd be trying to sleep an hour earlier too which is a different kind of fucked when it takes forever for the heat to subside.

What activity takes place in your bedroom at 4:45am that with the addition of streaming sun alone would turn it into a gay sauna? Party at tomby's.

Just buy a bloody curtain Tomby! If you get your daylight savings wishes you'd have to buy replacement curtains every year. Think of the money you're wasting! No one wants to be paying for shit like that, like Driveclub.

A nice and cool 18 degrees today after a few days of intense burn despite it only being as high as 25 this week in Auckland.

Enjoy your humid Qld weather suckers! :D

Yeah, up to 32 now and then. Ive said it before and I'll say it again, a 40 degree day in the sun in Qld is more bearable than a 26 degree day in the sun in NZ. A 32 degree day with clear skies is unbearable here, you literally feel your skin burning within a few minutes.

I'd assume that's the humidity in QLD. I think it's probably similar in Melbourne to NZ. When it's hot here, it's usually dry heat. Scorching dry heat.

Edit - Actually I'm pretty sue that's why. QLD don't use evaporative coolers but here in Melbourne they're very common.

Well they do say Melbourne is Australia's Auckland.
