BIg Day Out 2007 - Second line up added

The only true festival out there is the Meredith Musical Festival, good bands, 3 day festival, BYO grog, one stage....the best pure festival left in Australia...but not for long, getting too commercialized now

Shit that's a shame about Meredith. I've heard nothing but good things about it, I really hope it doesn't change like all the others have. I know festivals don't all completely suck, but the people that tend to turn up these days only seem to be interested in 1 or 2 acts and spend the rest of the time in the fecking way.

Push the Button was a great record, but hopefully this time they stay clear of the hip-hop style they demonstrated with that album

pretty disappointed with this announcement. I've never been able to get into tool as much as i'd like. Jet make me wish for death. I saw Muse a few years back at the BDO and as much as i loved their albums, they did nothing for me live - was boring as hell and felt as though they couldnt really be bothered. And i loathe their new album. Never been a fan of the Killers, and from what i've heard of the new album i dont expect that to change any time soon hehe. the oly band that i actually like on that list is the sleepy jackson, but if i turned down the chance to see them a few weeks ago for 20-something bucks, i dont think i'm willing to pay over $115.

im looking forward to the second announcement, hopefully there will be SOMETHING good heh

Shall be buying mine tomorrow. tough luck to anyone in sydney. it sold out by about 11am. but theyre releasing more tickets.. i guess like what they did last year, 500 a week or something.

Well, you should of seen how many ppl were lined up at Red Eye Records in the city. I've heard they are officially sold out here.

the sites were ridiculously slow last night. I had to give up and get them this morning. According to their forum the admin reckons they were getting hammered with 5000 hits per second.

Sydney only has 10,000 tickets left and they arent sure how they will release them either. But the first lot are all gone.

Just goes to show what a trendy place to be seen bdo is now.

I went to BDO 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. Never had a problem with tickets selling out.

Actually in 2004 I was pissed, because I got my tickets super early to see metallica, and then they sold out. I thought I'd made the right decision, but then they announced a second Sydney show, which didn't sell out. So it was like, first in, worst dressed, because it would be better to be at the second show with less ppl.

Although theres always the option of jumping the fence the night before and hiding in a toilet until the next day, a few peeps i've known over the years have done that.

Wow, that's a REALLY crap lineup! The only act I'd wanna see there is The Crystal Method, and I'll probably be able to see them at a sideshow somewhere.
