of course climate science is still unfolding, glad to hear you say that even though I'm pretty sure you were in agreement that it was settled in the previous thread that everyone argued this in. Cherry-picked data from lobbyists, well the same could be said about the warmists like one of the biggest frauds in history, the hockey stick. There's some elite cherry picking for you but that's OK because you agree with it right? I bet you think that the the missing warming must be in the bottom of the ocean? lol

Andrew Bolt, the man who changed the world according to Pep. It's amazing how the same conversation is going on all over the world all caused by those pesky opinion columnists, there's no way anyone could be thinking for themselves.

When I said cherry picked data from lobbyists I intended to include both sides. You should try to take the combat blinkers off. It will broaden your capacity to take words at face value and not put words into people’s mouths. Yes the science is ongoing, that doesn’t mean conclusions + action can’t be arrived at based on findings to date. I mentioned science will roll on because I just found it amusing to read you say ‘the global warming theory is in its final days’, like it’s a slogan that will go away after sufficient political sledging. Good ol’ conservatives, mining companies, oil companies , tobacco companies + friends clinging on to the old world. And you argue as though only the Green Army (not the 15,000 strong Green Army the Abbott Government intend to mobilise) is vested.

Let me be more precise, the co2 driven global warming\climate change theory will end up sunk. You can either go down with it and look like a fool or jump off now whilst it's still a little buoyant

Loving the persuasion pitch. Like I said you should read material outside newspaper columns.

One of us clearly does and I'll give you a hint, it's not you. Please tell me, what would it take for you to even question the co2 warming theory? Do you still think that 97% of the worlds scientists agrees and that there is a consensus? Isn't that what you used to believe? You seem to be banging on about how climate science is now only in it's infancy so we aren't sure of lots of things but yet you are so sure that we are burning to death from co2, your position makes no real sense.

No, it could be as high as 98% (of gravy train climate scientists).

Please stop putting words in my mouth. Where did I hint that climate science is in its infancy?

To clarify - you said the theory is in its last days which prompted me to remark climate science will carry on after your supposed end date.

I wonder if the current incarnation of the IPCC would be in the 'Little to no effect' category if this graph was from circa 2005?

Wow does Hercy know how to pick a winner lol. Nice 'survey' about as scientific as a dog fart.

At the end of the day, I am happy to spend a lot of money on the environment but we have wasted billions upon billions researching something that for all intensive purposes appears a massive non event. I'd rather see that funding into things that will actually make a difference like devices to enable clean water sources, animal preservation, rainforests etc, recycling technologies, sustainable fishing etc (expanding on fish farming ideas). Even the coalition, wasting 4 billion a year on carbon dioxide 'reductions', fuck that just put it into something that it will do some good for.

I've never heard of those solutions he's outlined before. Not saying they don't exist, but surely only a minority has proposed those solutions.

Planting trees?

I just like the fact he rubbishes alarmists. He's an accomplished scientist who understands academic communities and I love the way he thinks.

If you want a good read, read 'The Genius of the Beast' it's dope.

So all the global cooling alarmists of the 1970s started pumping carbon into the atmosphere and pumped a little too much then?

I don't particularly care about whether global warming is real or not I'd just prefer that we started looking after the environment better. We still have to live in it. Don't shit where you sleep as they say.

I'm probably alone on this but I think the whole Global Warming/Climate Change things has taken important attention away from very real and measurable environmental issues. The only things not related to CC or GW that get attention have to be huge oil spills or potential nuclear mishaps. I'm sure on the whole we're doing far more long lasting damage that just doesn't see the hype.

Nah fuck the rainforests let's all go to Tassie and fuck up a sustainable timber industry affecting nine tenths of fuck all and let the real destruction occur in the 3rd world where it isn't our problem.
