TV Shows

Post by KillKen »

I thought there was a TV show thread already but can't find it and I wanted to let you all know about "Awake". I watched the first ep today and really enjoyed it so do yourself a favour and check it out!

I think there are a couple of tv threads done in the vain of the movie thread but you can't search for words of three or less characters...

I watched Awake. It's a really interesting concept. I'm just wondering what they will do each week. Is he just going to be solving cases that are linked between the two realities?

Actually only just discovered The League (such a great show) and a mate's trying to get me into Workaholics (watched one episode that seemed alright). Anyone recommend watching Parks & Recreation?

Does anyone watch The River? It's shot documentary style about a group if people looking for the host of a naturr show who went crazy looking for magic. I don't love it, but it can be okay at times. They are pretty much trying to capture the paranormal movies. Those creepy ones tnat I can't recall the name of... Disturbances?

It has some creepy moments. There is one image in the show that still creeps me the fuck out...

a monkey wearing a dolls head. The scene makes so little sense and it does my head in. You hear a little girl, and you think it's a little girl, and it turns and there are two faces and then it's a monkey and it's just so freaky.

Since Terra Nova got the axe I've started on The River for my weekly dose of utter trash tv. And it delivers on every front.

MAD MEN is back (season 5). Latest double episode available in the usual places.

Where the fuck is my Season 5 of Breaking Bad? First three seasons had started around now, only last years was late due to other projects.

In saying that, this season is a special bumper long 16 episodes!

I finished the series last night. Kind of good and bad all over the ship. The end is interesting but I've read the series in a holding pattern at the moment while they nut out whether or not a second season will be released as a pay per view type of thing. I'd still only steal it though. I liked it even though the performances are wooden and Lincoln's voice has a quality that I'd assume was something like having semen caught in his throat. The second last episode turns into a level of Resident Evil. The final episode is basically The Exorcist on a boat.

Not as good as Pawn Stars. The characters just seem to try too hard in HP (far harder than PS).

Very watchable shows - I prefer Pawn Stars because it seems more genuine, Hardcore Pawn seems to be playing it like Jerry Springer. Cannot stand Operation Repo and the like, shit is too staged.
