I'm watching a British miniseries called Broadchurch. It's a crime drama starring David Tennant and the chick who says "Murder!" in Hot Fuzz. It's all thick farming accents. It's the kind of show my parents would have watched when I was a kid... You know, those shows that just looked dead boring.

It's intriguing and I want to know why the murder happened damn it!

Any of you guys stick with Legit? Fuck it's a great show and one of the first 'normal' Aussie's that doesn't act like a tool (not far off how people I know act..including myself in some ways).

Sounds like down Devon way. Had two flatmates in the UK that could pull that accent off with ease.

The crazy thing is, I'm okay with the Dorsett accent now, it's just bloody tennent with his Scottish accent that is impossible to understand. You get use to the heavy Rs.

Watched "In the Flesh". Cheers Grey, good watch and an interesting alternative to The Walking Dead. Maybe it has as many flaws, I didn't bother to scrutinise the story but it does do something different and tried to create some new lore. Not quite on the level of Utopia though. Still, I hope they both get another season.

Not yet but I intend to without holding any expectations.

The Americans.
Actually enjoying this one. KGB spies and sleeper cells living as Americans during the eighties.

Hannibal
Holy shit. If it weren't for some questionable character choices and tired situations, this would pretty much be top shelf tv. It's better than Dexter so far but that's only two episodes. Dexter was great for at least a season and a half before it got too samey.

Defiance- I didn't hate it... actually I rather enjoyed it. I'm a little over the new guy comes to town and becomes sheriff thing that is happening in every show though...

ZOMBIELAND

Episode 1 is up. Obviously based on the movie. I have no idea if it works or not. Could it be worse than The Walking Dead? Sorry, I meant it couldn't be worse than The Walking Dead.

The preview trailer for Zombieland TV Series was enough to turn me off it while laughing at just how terrible it looked.

Wow, that looks horrible. For all intents and purposes Zombieland (the movie) was a dark comedy. That's just tried to turn it into straight slapstick. Can you even do that with a zombie flick?

I laughed a couple of times, but have not seen the movie so had no preconceived ideas.

It was never the same after it came back. It suffered from the thing that destroys most returning series: fan-pandering. The sacrifice of Futurama is a worthy one since we're getting Arrested Development back.

It had its moments but you're right. A perfect example of that is the one where they make the girly calendar... geez it was a stones throw from official Futurama erotica.

June 19th is the date that it starts, it will air the rest of this season and thats it.

Groening has apparently said that he will try to get another network to pick it up again

I would take a thousand episodes of Futurama at its worst over a single episode of just about anything else showing on Australian FTA television right now.
