Sopranos still towers over everything for me. Breaking Bad was great, but isn't even on the same tier as The Sopranos.

I'm struggling with The Sopranos. Just finished season 4, a bit meh. As the series has gone on the main characters are starting to seem like bad stereotypes of stereotypes. Will try get through to the end.

***Anyone who reads this thread without being up to date with the show is asking for trouble***

Cletus was the most correct in ending predictions. It was the Blue that brought Walt back so much so that he orchestrated his own death in uncle Jack's meth lab. He wanted to be found there so that the world would believe that it was Heisenberg cooking until the very end and no one but he could produce his "signature" product.

He didn't go there to save Jesse, he went there to kill Jesse but changed his mind at the last moment when he realised Jesse was a prisoner and forced to cook against his will.

No one knows that it was Jesse cooking for the last few months except Badger and Skinny Pete who are lets say, less than credible "witnesses".

What are you talking about? Skinny P and Badger thought it was still Walt that was cooking. That's when Walt knew it was Jesse.

.......and said it out loud so that Badger and Skinny Pete could hear him. Badger even says "you'd think a brother would cut us in on the deal"

They heard, they know it was Jesse. I assume you watched the episode and by that I mean the same one we all did.

Lost in translation, Lepo. I thought you were suggesting Badger and Skinny P already knew it was Jesse for the last few months (ie: before Walt had said it), not that they NOW know that it's been Jesse these last few months - which is what I was saying.

Basically, we're making the same point and agree with each other. But I'm making the point better and so you're wrong. :D

I think kudos goes to myself for being right and to Lepo for raising Gretchen and Elliott and also pointing out that I was right.

Good on us!

I support Tomby's artistic choice. It certainly worked last time.

Wasn't me who edited the title, must've been The Boss Bruce Springsteen.

pretty cool letter from Sir Anthony Hopkins
THE Breaking Bad series finale had us all talking, but no one was more impressed than Sir Anthony Hopkins.
After binge-watching the series in just two weeks the Academy Award-winner was so moved by the acting that he penned a fan letter to actor Bryan Cranston, praising his talents.

Steven Michael Quezada, who played Steven Gomez in the hit series, took to his Facebook page recently, to share the gushing letter sent by Hitchcock star.

Hopkins wrote, "Dear Mister Cranston, I've just finished a marathon of watching BREAKING BAD. A total of two weeks (addictive) viewing. I have never watched anything like it. Brilliant! Your performance as Walter White was the best acting I have seen - ever.

"I know there is so much smoke blowing and sickening bullshit in this business, and I've sort of lost belief in anything really. But this work of yours is spectacular - absolutely stunning.

"From what started as a black comedy, descended into a labyrinth of blood, destruction and hell. It was like a great Jacobean, Shakespearean or Greek Tragedy. If you ever get a chance to - would you pass on my admiration to everyone - everyone gave master classes of performance ... The list is endless.

"Thank you. That kind of work/artistry is rare, and when, once in a while, it occurs, as in this epic work, it restores confidence.

"You and all the cast are the best actors I've ever seen. Congratulations and my deepest respect. You are truly a great, great actor.

"Best regards, Tony Hopkins."
