Re: So how about that Microsoft Surface?
I'd personally stick with Windows Defender. I'm curious to know what other Ranchers think.
So how about that Microsoft Surface?
Had a great experience with Bitdefender

I've used Avira for years. It's free, and always ranks right up there with the best.
Currently playing: Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition (PC), Far Cry 4 (PC), FIFA 23 (Series X)

Why would anyone use anything other than Defender? Free and it's M$ and it's already installed.

Defender does the job, a job that isn't an issue if you're not installing dodgy software and visiting dodgy sites.
With windows 10 you'll be installing more software from the windows store which is a trusted site. They're even going to sandbox win32 apps on the windows store, which is great news, no more left over files/registry entries etc.

Ah, thought I was the only one clicking those ' Grow your dick 10 inches using this commonly used household ingredient".
And to answer the question, the ingredient was salt. Just stuff it into your pee-hole and watch it grow as the swelling intensifies.

Posting from my new Surface Pro 3. Grabbed the 128gb i5 model from JB, very very impressed! A more than adequate laptop replacement for my needs.

Re: So how about that Microsoft Surface?
You know you could have written that in the free Microsoft Fresh Paint app. A personal touch would have been nice is all I'm saying. Even a cock and balls in a love heart would've been ok. Unfair not to provide an example I guess. Choose your own expression. I went with a metal themed cocknballs in a bold red heart to keep it basic. I call it Circumcised Steel. The sentiment is merely an example of how I'd imagine being courted and should only be used as a guideline.

It's been really hard not to jump on the Pro 3. But I feel like I'll be rewarded for waiting for the Pro 4. Should only be 2-3 months away.

I need a type pad, I really do... I just can't justify paying $180 for one right now, it's fucking apple style robbery.
I'll have to get one eventually but I won't be happy about it.

Re: So how about that Microsoft Surface?
I found a handy mouse pointer app for Surface or other windows tablet users. It is a little system tray app that gives you a virtual mouse/touchpad.
Really handy for sites that need mouse hover to work and you don't have a stylus or typecover handy!

A question - how often are you out and about where you need to use a type/touch cover?jizzlobber wrote:I need a type pad, I really do... I just can't justify paying $180 for one right now, it's fucking apple style robbery.

I found with my original RT that it was rarely... I was more likely to need it at home or at work.. so.. Rather than pay the rather hefty price for a type cover.. I just went to Officeworks and got myself a $30 wireless keyboard and mouse combo that just plugs into the USB. I have one for home.. and one for work. It works a treat!

Re: So how about that Microsoft Surface?
Only problem is the 3 hour battery life when the keyboard is not attached, but I guess you need to see it as a laptop rather than a hybrid.
