Big Brother 2012
Re: Big Brother 2012
Lol.
I didn't see what makes you say that. I realise now that I have literally zero patience/interest in hearing any conflict on the show. The second any of them start talking through a disagreement, I switch channel. Needless to say, I'm not seeing a lot.

So what's happening now? I count 7 people left, and they're doing votes to win the whole thing now?
The games and things they do are quiet, nothing really happens. They all seem to just be chilling out and kind of just doing what BB instructs. I remember the season with all the tits and sausage also had a lot of really active stuff going on. What an amazing comeback channel 9. It's like Sonic 4... if you can't afford it, don't start it.

Yeah no one cares... They picked the wrong sort of people and the format was kinda wanky
Re: Big Brother 2012
Michael's speech was fun, but all the speeches have made it too obvious they're getting production help.

But if they'd put you in it would have been awesome.

Re: Big Brother 2012
Nah.. I think given the people... I wouldn't have enjoyed it and I wasn't a match for what they wanted. Deef said it.. There has been production help and it just looks lame. I think the biggest thing that is shitting me is how the housemates are in the ch9 promo videos and are addressing the audience. It just seems tacky and it kinda breaks down the 4th wall.
Re: Big Brother 2012
Promo videos they've clearly been taken out of the house to make DURING the show. Somehow I don't think Gangnam style was relevant 3 months ago+ before they went in.

Re: Big Brother 2012
They showed the making of gangnam style. They were shown the clip in the living room and then taken individually to the captains quarters to film there bits. The promos where they talk bout it going to be a great night were shot before they went in as it's the old hairdos and and weights.
Re: Big Brother 2012
ah thats not too bad then, still its much more outside influence then the previous houses have ever had. All in all as long as Estelle doesn't win, I'm baffled by someone like Michael who supposedly has the IQ of a genuis cannot pick up that she's acting and playing the game to win, being yourself is not being gangster one day and a girly girl the next that's trying hard to fit in and be someone you're not but as per usual these people are retarded.

Re: Big Brother 2012
I've seen sweet FA of this season, but I want Michael or Estelle to win.
The rest all suck. Don't like that English woman. Really hate Ben - what a loathesome character. Wasn't Zoe supposed to be some kind of racist homophobe? What happened there?
Sam contributes nothing, but I saw a bit were someone was hating on him and calling him 'protein-guy'. Seemed a bit rough.
Why is Estelle crying all the time? Same with that young woman on one of the singing shows. Every time I see her on TV she's balling her eyes out too. Cheer up emo kids.

Re: Big Brother 2012
The Gangnam Style shit was what made me go "Nah fuck yas". Making out that the Big Brother Shuffle was inspired by Gangnam style? What bullshit. Some of the promo work they have done for the show was done prior to going into the house. Some of it has been done IN the house. You could tell by the fact that Ben was doing Gangnam Style dance with his haircut he got IN the house. The idea of the show is that they aren't meant to have ANY knowledge of what is happening outside. No contact.. no nothing.
Zoe or Estelle (just to shit people off).. then Layla... even if she is dumb as dog shit.

Re: Big Brother 2012
I hope Stacey doesn't win, basically because while she does seem nice she has literally zero presence. There are people who actively go under the radar due to keeping to themselves and such, but Stacey doesn't appear to have done that yet still, for me, just does not exist. She's good glue for the house maybe, but Ben is better viewing. Maybe that's the show's fault for not displaying enough of her, or maybe that's how her nature has been; friendly and absolutely zero waves all season.
Zoe completely bores me. She just doesn't seem to be anyone; just reacting with a decided grin to everything.
I agree about the contact thing. It's hard to get in the mood for a turkey slappin' when they're being made so aware of the outside world and the cameras. The season with Camilla, Jamie, gay cowboy... that was drama drama drama. Practically every character was huge. And that Reggie season; didn't they have to change the rules because all the housemates were getting so insanely emotional about voting against each other in the last month or so? In this season, they're not forming their own world a quarter as much. UK BB had a mini-pool orgy! Where's our pool orgy? How is that supposed to happen when there's a speech to the nation in a few days on the back of your mind, and a dog watching you.
The dog! Like a permanent reminder to stay conscious of how you're treating the dog because the country is watching.
What bugs me about the production is not so much that their non-wonder social experiment is so tainted, but that the viewers are being deceived in that we came in expecting a show about people being natural, but no, they're sometimes being told what to do for the cameras. No wonder there's no live feed.
@Froggy
Actually that's exactly (like you could have been paraphrasing him there) what Michael has said. That struck me as odd last night as well; they were so openly talking about winning and the Australian public's perception of each other. That wouldn't fly before. I guess it's obvious to the crew that at this point no-one is going to be booted on strikes, and that rule has been lifted. Or they just wanted to change it anyway.
With 7 people left it's too shaky trying to recognise a favourite. Maybe Michael, maybe Stacey, maybe Estelle.

Re: Big Brother 2012
Deef - Stacey is gone. Thank god. She was a freaking idiot also. Meeper? really?
Re: Big Brother 2012
Stacey is gone? Oh um. Damn I can't remember their names. I still don't know what meeper means btw.
Edit - OHHH. Yeah her. Oh so she was gone? Ok, I was just seeing last night's late footage or whatever.
Ok so it's pretty much Michael or Estelle imo, probably Michael.

Re: Big Brother 2012
I thought that Michael was saying that Estelle is the only one who'se truely been herself the whole time and thats someone who can be a gangsta wanna be rapper one day and a horsey girl the next which struck me as odd as I thought if he'd listened to what he said he just confirmed that out of everyone she's being herself the least, you can even see in her face she's thinking through everything for the cameras before she does stuff. I only think that because she's been voted in so many times in a row that they are hitching their wagons to her by being nice in order to make sure that they don't give her more votes by victimising her more as so far most weeks she's survived elimination because one of the others has melted down that week.
As for the winner? We'll as there's no streaming it comes down to how the BB production crew edit you and that can make or break someone within a day, anyone remember the hatchet job they did on Johnny in BB one where they edited stuff out of sequence to make him a villian and then he got kicked off that week and booed when he'd done nothing they had made up? I can see them doing that to Michael.

Re: Big Brother 2012
Stacey was terrible when she got out of the house. I believe every sentence she said was "I hate Estelle".
Re: Big Brother 2012
Well I admittedly wasn't paying too much attention, but I thought Michael's comments were along the lines of "The public doesn't see what we see; they don't know what it's like to live with her. She talks about being herself but then goes gangsta every second day."

Re: Big Brother 2012
Completely surprised that it was Michael. When it came down to him and Ben it looked like it couldn't have been more obvious. Ben appeared to register that too.
He seemed a little strange on stage, but can't say how.
The final little "Vote for me" speeches were just stupid; a stupid idea. Especially Estelle's, which kinda put me off her really. I'm allowed to be fickle. I don't think going through 7 housemates in 1 week is much fun either. Zoey who? Sam who?
So of the three that are left... um... whatevs. I guess Ben? Not Layla please.
The best thing about the season was Hercy's OP.

I'm hoping Australia is still homophobic enoiugh to ensure Ben doesn't win. That's all I want. Don't give a shit now who wins... just as long as it's not Ben.

Rubbish final 3. I can't believe layla's stupidity has got her this far.
Ben to win, by default. Should have been Michael.

Re: Big Brother 2012
I just don't get it really... that it was Michael? I reckon he's a victim of the Vote-To-Save format. He never had that vibe of "I need your vote," no desperation or stress at all, so it's a factor of voting compulsion just absent from many people's minds.
My theory anyway. Basically "Why would we vote for Michael? He'll be fine anyway!"

Re: Big Brother 2012
Ben is still a human turd. Nice smile after the shocked look of michael going... Estelle has won it. She might talk to herself and do odd things but she's the only nice person in that house. I'm sure if I met her in real life I'd throttle her to death in about 5 mins. But at least she isn't Ben.

I think being in the house amplifies you and if that is indeed the case, I don't think Estelle would be that bad. Ben on the other hand... ergh

Re: Big Brother 2012
Layla or Estelle would be fine for the win. At least Michael is out. People shouldn't be rewarded for having that kind of physique and wearing nothing but underwear. It's crook. I question how smart he is. Also, Ben is annoying.
Re: Big Brother 2012
Layla winning is as welcome in Australia today as a yellow bellied black snake at a BB house.
