Well the SHIELD TV show is in development and news coming from NYCC 2012:

At the Marvel TV panel just moments ago and with Clark Gregg making a surprise appearance, Marvel just showed video of Joss Whedon & Kevin Feige mentioning the return of Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson on the SHIELD television pilot.

“There was never gonna be a SHIELD show without Agent Coulson,” Whedon said.

Notably Gregg himself said to the crowd, “Ever heard of a life model decoy? Coulson Lives.”

Dan Hart also tells us he’ll appear on the Ultimate Spider-Man animation as well, voiced by Clark…

I like Coulson but not sure about cheapening his death in the movie by having him still alive...

He's already appeared in Ultimate Spider-Man. He's the team handler and Principal of the high school they attend.

Yeah but that's not really movie canon where as SHIELD will be movieverse.

I think it's shit. You're right it just cheapens his death. It would be like Wash appearing in a new series of Firefly. Cloning technology is a thing here!

I'm not sure I understand this thread. I mean, you guys can't possibly be talking about a remake of the 2002 TV series The Shield, but then again they do love remakes these days. So why not. There's probably already a Breaking Bad remake in the works.
