Eternal Sonata
If anybody doesn't know this game is currently $29 @ JB
I've heard good things about this game, might be worth a purchase at that price.

Bought it at jb at strathpine. They seem to have run out at westfield chermside store but they will be getting more in.
Corey, you should buy them all and sell them on ebay for a profit. It's a new title.
nah.. he'll probably end up buying the superior ps3 version or something so he can stay loyal to team sony.

It is yet to be released on PS3. I don't think it ever will. The source article is pure speculation from 12 months ago. It's Japanese website still lists it as an Xbox 360 exclusive.GameHED wrote:nah.. he'll probably end up buying the superior ps3 version or something so he can stay loyal to team sony.

My local JB HiFi had sold out with more restock coming on the 30th, problem is the sale is over by then (the 26th according to the catalogue, which he said sometimes games sales can go longer but no guarantee).
Luckily the guy let me 'preorder' it at that price, so I suggest others try to do the same if it's sold out. $29 has to be a steal...

Same - got mine from there on Saturday. Haven't played it yet - won't get a chance for a few days.GameHED wrote:Bought it at jb at strathpine.
We got the catalogue in the mail on Wednesday last week. I went in to the city JB's on Thursday and it was sold out. I asked the guy about getting a raincheck and he said no. I thought they weren't allowed to advertise things they don't have in stock? Aren't there laws against that???
Anyhow, the guy was pretty good about it and reserved one at Strathpine for me.

haha yeah I noticed that within those first two hours. That fucking rat boss took forever to kill it was ridiculous and it did get boring of just xxxxxxxxy then xxxxxxxx only for him to heal himself again.
I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to games though and I doubt it'll override my love for the game's world and art. Dont' worry I'll be buying Lost Odyssey soon too.

It's a more involving combat system than your usual jrpg, and it evolves as you play to become less turn based and more action based. I love the whole light and dark system. Works really well. I don' know what you were looking for in the combat system pilon, it does more than Lost Odyssey that's for sure.

Those that liked Eternal Sonata, check out the Tales of Vespiria demo on the Japanese marketplace.
Real Time combat is a blast, but I'm really not sure what I'm doing, just mashing buttons.
Graphics are a notch up from Eternal Sonata, and the tone is more light-hearted. It's only a short demo, but the dialog seems more light-hearted and less of a chore to skip through. Speech bubbles makes a nice change in a JRPG, it opens up the screen from text boxes and item menus.
