Can we fix the forum options so I don't have to toggle your post across so I can only see half of the pictures at any one time?

Hmm if they were PS3 screen I'd be fully expecting Ranch Xbots to be trolling the shit out of them.

are you saying those screens aren't impressive or xbots lay the foot into good looking PS3 games?

I'm an xbot and I think some of those environment textures look bland as hell. Otherwise looking good.

They are rather underwhelming screenies imo, although they do not lessen my enthusiasm for the game at all.

I'm still not convinced, after seeing all those gameplay vids at E3 I thought it looked nice but the "stop and prop" gameplay doesn't flow and looks restrictive.
I don't like the idea of moving from cover to cover all the way through the game, I hope it offers something else.

resize your browser window sculli if want to see the whole image, the older way used to stretch the table across making posts undernearth harder to read.

A little from column A, a little from column B.
The part of the pipeline that’s in the daughter die, that lives with the memory is the z, the alpha, the stencil, the processors to do the resolve from multisample AA, the one that gives you AA for free, well 4x or 2x multisampling

Character models and the immediate environment look pretty schmick, but that fence/bush on the right hand side of the last screenie looks very dodgy.

Talez it's been known for a long time now that the way unreal does is multipass rendering, isn't compatible with predicated tiling needed for AA on 360. Also their technique is also a big performance killer when msaa is enabled on traditional gpu's. It's the trade off they've made.

What 360 game that's already out doesn't have similar jaggies in one form or another though?

seeing static shots v moving footage of MGS on the PS3 show a vastly different story.
Static it was all jaggy and horrible to look at, but in motion it was so damn pretty.
You will be getting the same effect here. Moving footage has made this game look hot as.

Those screens aren't impressive. In some respects they are but they're a lot less impressive than previous GoW screens. Jaggies and muddy textures everywhere. As I said if they were PS3 screens people would be having a field day over i) poor textures and no AA and ii) for being so downgraded vs previously hyped media.

Looks like a texture downgrade by the looks of it and some jaggies.

Damn. Not enough RAM!
Imagine what these pics of GOW would look like if Microsoft went with the original amount of 256.
